Bellevue 21 Walton Verona 0

Tigers 21 - WV 0

Very much an early season contest. 6-0 at the half.

Lots of mistakes, dropped passes, ball on the ground, bad penalties.

Pushing & shoving on the O and D lines....

Bellevue took advantage and put the game away.

Both clubs can have good seasons, but have to go back to work.

I did not really see anyone that turned heads.

Good Luck to both clubs!!

Kind of surprised on this one; congratulations to the Tigers on the win.

Bearcats were just out pushed around up front. Congrats to Bellevue...

Kind of surprised but congrats to Bellevue and the new head coach on his first win as the Tigers leader!

Didn't see this one. Wow!

Jake Sparks tossed a 68 yrd TD pass to open the scoring and Jordan Fogleman scored a couple late TD's for the Tigers on runs.

Nice shutout Tigers.

Looks like Coach Croley is doing a fine job thus far. There is a lot of tradition in Bellevue and it would be nice to see the program get back into the fold of competing with Beechwood for District Championships.

Not really expecting to see this score...Figured it would be a little higher in score on both sides, especially with Sarge saying WV was super fast this year. Sounds like WV misses the guys up front, gotta block for that speed to succeed.. WV should be fine when they hit district games- not a tough haul (Gallatin, Trimble, Owen, Carroll) very winnable games... Congrats to Bellevue's new coach!

Walton replaced their entire o-line this year so they are young and a work in progress. Defense played well so that is something to build on.

Way to go Bellevue! Seems like the bearcats get pushed around in most sports.

Classless totally classless.

To say that WV got pushed around some after a 21 to nothing early season loss is one thing, but to say that is what happens to them in most sports is not only classless, but also just plain dumb. Not sure if this link will show up but if it does take some time to see WV sports accomplishments last school year. Clearly, they don't get pushed around.

Walton's line is very young (line wasn't the only problem). They will get better as the season goes. Everything can be fixed. Good job to Bellevue as they played very well up front. Bellevue had a slight hiccup last season. They have a very nice tradition of football there.

I think most would agree Walton-Verona has a pretty solid athletic program. And losing to Bellevue 21-0 doesn't sound like a romp; rather just a case of one team being better than another at this point in the season. And if WV is replacing their entire line, then most should expect a few early season bumps.
