Spencer gave Collins a decent showing in the first half.. Looked like Collins just had too many horses-- RB Brooks is pretty shifty! I remember his dad playing in the 90's. Not too many people at the game- sad to see that considering it was a 2nd round game. Good luck to Collins and Coach Lucas next week.

What would my comment have to do about lack of knowledge in coaching? I simply referenced facts about WV past seasons.. We know you obviously have an agenda- your screen name.. I also believe anyone who posts on here has an agenda, their own. As far as building programs from scratch, you are right, never had the pleasure... Or maybe I have- that you do not know..

I still haven't quite figured out what the draw is here. He took over an up and coming new program at a school that has always had it's fair share of athletes-- then proceeded to lose miserably in his first year, catch a good district in a bad year in his 2nd only to then beat Bracken (how they get in playoffs is a joke) and get hammered by Frankfort. Then jump in class to a lower quality opponent (minus Owen this year)(left Beechwood, Bellevue, etc) and lose in the first round of playoffs to a team they beat soundly in the season (looking past Lloyd was a mistake). This makes him a quality candidate for a big time NKY job?!? Not so much. I think Scott's coach should stay there, they deserve to have a legit HC. Sounds to me like Borchers is doing pretty well at Cooper- so I wouldn't see him moving. I am intrigued about this Siple fella- hear a lot about him and I appreciate offensive innovators since the game has moved from ground and pound over the last few years. Interesting debate for the next weeks/months.. Hopefully for Dixie not months....

I am a warrior myself... Plus I played for both coaches (Lucas and Shipley) when Lucas first came to S-ville.. Like them both but Lucas was a favorite. Was glad to see him get the job and having success.. I will get my first look at the team this weekend..

Will be attending this game- hope Coach Lucas gives me a good reason for making the trip back home to Shelbyville.. Don't know much about either team so I am gonna homer this pick and say Collins wins..

Not that surprised on this one.. I figured it would be a close game- talked to a Lloyd guy and he had said they were gonna make Walton beat them in the air. Can't win in postseason when you are one dimensional- have to be able to change it up with different looks.. Lack of preparation or general oversight? Also not 100% on this but if you look at schedules from the season I would have given Lloyd the edge b/c of better competition.. While WV was playing Gallatin, Trimble, Estill, etc. Lloyd had a pretty decent haul in late season.. (Holy Cross, NCC, Newport, Bellevue) Even in losses, when you play better competition it makes you better..

Nice district record.. Haven't kept up with them too much this year.. Strengths and Weaknesses going into the playoffs? Which team would be the best matchup for the first round?

Love to see this! Congrats to Coach Lucas. Anybody know where they sit in the running for playoffs?

That's not gonna win ya any ballgames. I don't care how good your defense is. That apparently either gauges toward no athletes on offense or bad play management. Surprised at this score.

I get that what the mother did was cheating according to Tenn. high school athletic association but the basis for the reason of that rule is an interesting argument. They should not punish citizens of the U.S. for wanting to give their children a better opportunity. If these young men were living in the district with a family member then that means they were fulfilling the need of the school (money) b/c their family was paying some type of tax. IN TWO CITIES! Not only were these folks fulfilling the desired outcome for the school--kids go where they want, they are happy, enjoying success. All because this family had a "part" of it (ma) in a different city, should not be a crime. We sometimes forget that publicly funded schools get "per child" dollars. Anyway, school had to vacate wins, the rule was enforced--so be it. I have no dog in the fight but a parent should be able to make a decision on the future and well being of the child. So what if they can play some ball. It should be education first, sports next... IMO, --off the soapbox...

Don't forget that North Oldham is a pretty decent ball club. So it really isn't too surprising that if Henry is rebuilding that they looked a little sloppy in Week 1. A lot of teams have week 1 hiccups. However I would think Henry would have the edge in this one b/c coaches can't play the game. Who is to say that Henry's coaching staff hasn't "bonded" well also? Henry is a bigger school with more athletes--not to say Walton doesn't have athletes--but Henry should be able to produce a little more size and that could hurt Walton up front. Don't know too much about Henry, but I'm gonna lean towards them in this one since Walton proved me wrong last week. I will probably get some egg thrown at me since this seems to be a pro Walton posting--and a few I told ya so's if they win.. Interested to see the result considering it is in Verona.....
