Final from Bellevue.

Holmes led 17-8 at the half.

Congrats Holmes.

Who stood out for Holmes tonight! Did Oden have another good game?

Wow! Holmes shut down Buckler or did he just not score? I thought Bellevue was in for a real good season this year? Is Holmes in for a good season?

Sophomore Greg Clemmons scored 3 TD's and had a key interception on defense to lead the Bulldogs.

Was Bellevue in this game at all or was it pretty much dominated by Holmes?

From what I heard from others is that Holmes played well, but I wouldn't say dominated. Bellevue had the ball in the red zone about 6 times and couldn't captialize. The Tigers had too many mistakes (turnovers, penalties, etc.). There are no excuses coming out of the Tigers.

I look forward to finally getting to see Bellevue play this year, next week against the Scott War Eagles!! I am sure the coaching staff will get the mistakes corrected and minimalized and dominate the Eagles

Homes played very well. The Tigers shot themselves in the foot too many times. Couldn't capitalize in red zone, fumbles, penalties, etc.. Good game by both teams best of luck the rest of the season .

Hmmm looks like my prediction about Holmes winning about at least 3 touchdowns was pretty darn close. :sssh:

I do think Bellevue bounces back next week though and beats Scott.

Looks like by the original thread that Bellevue's D played well in the 2nd Half of this game. If they are holding an athletic team like Holmes to just 7 in the 2nd half and only 24 for a game. That is not bad and they should do well against other schools that do not have that same athleticism such as Dayton and Ludlow. I want to be there this week to see them against Scott, but I may have to wait till Beechwood. Both of those should be interesting.
