Let's here your thoughts on this one. Who wins and why?

Walton wins. Bellevue has a new offensive system that is very similar to Walton's offense. No surprises for Walton. Walton will disrupt the Bellevue offense big time up front. I think Walton will show some new wrinkles in their offense this season that will throw everyone they play off a bit. All this said, I guarantee Bellevue will be physical as always and will be ready to punch the Bearcats in the mouth (figuratively speaking).

Walton should come away with this. First off Bellevue is transitioning into a new regime, always tough on kids to adapt to a new style in the first season. Walton knows this from a few years ago. Second, from recent records it would seem Bellevue, Ludlow and Dayton are all having a tough go at winning games. Something in the water? Maybe all the kids took thier talents to South Beach? It could very well be a mirror image game if both offenses run the wing-t at each other. In every game, whoever dominates the LOS will win, same here. Walton by 14ish?

Bellevue teams and are always physical and playing at home more so. Should be a tough opener for the Bearcats.

I believe that Walton should win due to the reasons that have been mentioned.

I think this will be close. Walton appears to have the fastest team it has ever had. We will see how this holds up when they play on Friday.

Bellevue was supposed to be playing Scott this week, but dropped them last minute to play WV instead, leaving the Eagles with only 9 games.

I thought Walton Verona lost a lot of starters from last years team. Are the younger kids stepping up?

Bellevue is always tough, but I like W-V based on size & speed.

They lost some good players on the line but return all but one from the backfield. Younger kids are very good along with the two Taft transfers. This is a very fast group as I have said before.

I am going to take tradition in this one. I think Bellevue will win by 8. Should be a great 1-A opening week game.

Walton's team speed and athleticism should carry the day in this one, even though they will be opening on the road. Since I can't make our away game, I may run down to Bellevue and check out this match-up. Should be a good one. :thumb:

Alright, Alright, Alright....Next to league bowling season, this is my favorite time of the year. I am finally glad to be back, with so many Lebowski-fests now (I have to make those guest appearances, man) and working diligently on getting "The Big Lebowski" on on blu-ray, I am been a busy man.

 

Those times are over, I have been to Ralph's, I have my half-and-half and I'm ready for some football.

 

I am going to with my gut here and pick Bellevue to win this game (even though Walter disagrees and Donnie is out of his element on this one). I am hearing good things around town about the new coach and I think Bellevue's physical play will overtake a very good Walton team.

 

Good luck to both teams...and if you see me out and about just remember...there's a beverage here, man!! (So, be careful)

 

Also...I don't want to hear any Eagles during pre-game.
