It sounds to me that you are trying to make it personal with Boone County students for whatever reason? You are about to cross a line, just worrry about your students that patrol the halls at Cov Cath.

This is comical. Over 70 post of why KIDS did not attend the basketball games over the weekend.

I didn't attend the championship game, but I caught the semi's on Saturday... Truly not trying to start a controversy here, but during the Boone/Lloyd game I was thinking how fantastic Boone's band was. Very talented bunch. Did anyone by any chance catch it when Boone's band played a famous 'Cee Lo' tune? It really translated into a very catchy instrumental number that I for the first time had ever heard being played at a sporting event. I really had to chuckle thinking to myself that they were pulling a fast one on the crowd. I'm guessing they might've played it again on Sunday, but I wasn't there, so not sure. I hope by me bringing it up they aren't smacked with a cease and desist from playing it in the future. I found it pretty funny as well as being a nice upbeat tune that worked well and could possibly become a sporting event standard. Does anyone know if this is already a popular sports standard and I'm just a little late in realizing it? I can't name the song here for if I did I'd probably be suspended.

Of course a lot of kids will go when they go to Rupp! The transportation is provided, it's exciting, fun, AND you get out of school! You act like its a crime for high school kids to want a day off! I have raised 3 of them and they all would love a day off to go on a road trip. Geesh, why so hostile??

Apparently Boone's Band Director has full intention of playing Rocky Top as many times as possible at Rupp. Even as a UK fan, I found that amusing haha!

I don't think money is really an issue, I am willing to bet a good number of Boone students were elsewhere spending money on Sunday at such places as the mall, for some reasons many students just don't care anymore. I also think the game times held a lot of people away for all teams, not sure what the BOK had going on Saturday and Sunday nights, but I think a lot more would have shown up if the games were at night.

In my opinion:

Boys game - no student section for the Rebels (absolutely none)

Girls game - fairly decent student section for the Lady Rebels

Exactly....and it is also Comical that it is always the same people that seem to pile on when things don't go their way. I now know who won the Rah-Rah award at his/her respectful High School a loooooong time ago. Time to find something else to hand your worn hat on.

Was at a game at Ryle vs. Cov Cath in January and there were about 10 crazies in the stands for that one. Ryle had alot bigger cheering section. This should be about Boone County winning both regional championships. There are many reasons that students cannot attend games on a Sunday 30 minutes from home. Leave it alone and good luck to the Rebel teams down state.
