Heck, Jonathan Jackson was 1A player of the year. Seems like a joke to me. I know these are all good players on the list but Jackson is a great player.

Heck Isaac Hardesty of Owensboro Catholic was 2-A player of the year and not even honorable mention.

According to the Advocate Messenger Tryston Ford was nominated as a lineman but made a note that he played in the secondary and not on the line. From what I have gathered the guy who wrote the story(Larry Vaught) either nominated him as a lineman or knows who did.

...The Courier-Journal, Herald-Leader and BGP All-State teams are much more reliable.

 

FYI - The Herald-Leader only does an All-City Team from exclusively the Fayette County schools; no all-state team.

Congrats to the 6 Scott County players that made the list: Avery Ford (1st D), Scott Daniels (2nd O), Damon Gray (2nd D), Ben Lawler, Dierrieus Dumphord and Josh Walls (HM). Jordan Kindred surely would have made one of the DL lists if he hadn't torn his ACL early in game 9.

 

Like others have commented, I was stunned to see that a single Trinity OL made teams 1 or 2.

Hard to believe Jackson from mayfield didn't make it.

 

That's why these state polls are absolutely ridiculous. Jackson from Mayfield is probably the best LB I've seen in last 10 years.

The Ryan Timmons omission is an absolute travesty. Just awful. I put him on first team without a blink of an eye.

Ok, this is very interesting to me. How is Zeke Pike an Army All-American? He's not even named as hon mention on the all state team.

Maybe worse than any omission that we had. I say, next year, we don't even post the AP All State team...it's a sham, and a dishonor.

I don't think any Rock should take the place of any Bird on the 1st team. Do I think there should be more Rocks on the 1st team......absolutely.
