Thank everyone for their support, especially our parents & fans, we stand behind our Coach 100% If you were @ the game you would have seen what really happened it was a physical game no doubt, I’m taking nothing away from Clark County Congrats to them guys on their win, we are a TEAM & FAMILY @ BC @ the end of the day & we will go compete this weekend for the 2A Title & leave it all on the floor & that’s what our Head Coach expects us to do, not get on social media and bash refs, other players or coaches, it is what it is & we are moving on, we will see Clark Co again @ their place Jan 29th.. Once again thank you for your support & comments either way we will always play hard & leave it all on the floor... #BC-4-LIFE #COLONELCRAZIES -

Very physical game, hope the kid that was concussed is ok & has a speedy recovery, sounds like Bourbon County has gotten tired of being pushed around & pushed back, a lot closer game than what people thought it was going to be, good luck to both teams the rest of the season... -

Bourbon will be ok, the flu bug has hit them pretty good and they had a few guys out that didn't even make the trip, just gotta keep grinding, taking nothing away from Pendleton Co tho, they were on fire, congrats on their win and wish Bourbon a speedy recovery from the flu bug.. -

Paris/Bourbon County predictions
Professor7 replied to Randy Parker's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
That's why we play the game, looks like Campbell has changed the culture @ BC, he has his squad believing they can win tough ball games, Coach Brooks always has his Greyhounds ready for that BC/PHS cross town rivalry and the Hounds have had the Colonels number the past 5 years, Friday night could open some eyes if the Colonels can pull off the upset, with that being said, I'd like to say good luck to both teams and wish them the best of luck the rest of the season... -
Qb, 2 wr's, RB, safety, LB, Corner, 2 DL, kicker, punter. A couple of those positions are covered by 2 way players.

Line judge didnt pay attention to where he was, when the QB scrambled into the end zone he thought he stepped out of the endzone! So he blew the whistle and signed "safety" -
I'd expect him to have a JJ Reddick like career, which is a pretty nice gig.

It was a good competitive game by both teams and calls were iffy all night both ways, BC was down 13 @ one point and got back in it, Mason had a chance to win the game in regulation and didn't hit the shot, both teams had key guys in foul trouble in overtime, I take my hat off to BC & their coaching staff for finding a way to win against a good Mason Co team, good luck to both teams the rest of the year.. I wouldn't sleep on BC they got some good things going on this year & just may surprise several teams... -

Sounds like Bourbons Defense bent but didn't break Bourbon had just as many turnovers as Mason Co, good win for the Colonels, good luck to both teams.. -

Hard fought game by both teams from beginning to end, Clark Co RB J. Israel put his team on his back for a huge rushing night with 280 & Bourbon County's defense bent but didn't break came through with a huge defensive stand at the end of the game, Congrats to the Colonels on the win & QB Clay Bolin on a record setting night 34/51 425 yards 4td's -

Coach Sosby does an outstanding job and is passionate about Bourbon Co, which is what they need. They will be competitive in just about every game this year. Not sure what final record will look like, but they will battle. -
AAU is pimped out basketball. Unfortunately, it's the same in every sport. Pay to play on some all star team. Take kids from anywhere, put them together and go play. No one wants to develop kids anymore for there program, just take the best players willing to pay and hope some college coaches will see them. In return, the coaches hope to piggy back it to a job. The way finances are at schools, I am afraid the day will come when all sports will be pay to play. Schools will drop athletic teams. Cant wait to cram into the KBA and watch the Lexington Shining Stars (don't know if such team exists) made up of kids from Owensboro, Covington, Ashland, Indianapolis, Cincy, etc., play one on one basketball. You can see the same thing at the "Blue Courts" for free.

1st five Dunbar-loads of talent Scott Co-Robb kid and new athletes Lafayette- big kid in middle, Lane Bryan Station- Davis(?), quick Madison Central-always tough 2nd Five Lex Cath- see M Central Woodford-ath wings Henry Clay- reload, tisdale LCA-King, Rode, DeMarcus M Southern-guard play Rest: Sayre-Duby, Goodman Model- Chin, quick quard Tates Creek- patterson Franklin Co- stewart (probably too low, will be tough) Frankfort- Athletes! Berea- Jackson building Western Hills- Cody building Not sure there is as much talent as in years past, but once again 11th will be ultra competitive from top to bottom. Teams from "rest" could end up NEAR top of region. But ultimately, looks like it is Dunbars to lose.

Augusta coaching search
Professor7 replied to Randy Parker's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Watching his teams play and the talent pool he had to draw from, it was a pretty remarkable job. Maybe someone is better for Augusta, but I wouldn't judge Kirk simply on results of the Burgin program. Sure Burgin gets some players once every 15 years, but not while he has been there. I could really care less who gets Augusta job, but Kirk is an "extraordinary" coach. As was Hinson. -

Brian Kirk is an impressive individual. The job he has done at Burgin is nothing short of extraordinary. -

The train wreck on here has been one of the most entertaining things to watch all year. Thank you. -
HC and Station meet again in finals. Brown punches ticket to big dance. HC by 4.

Probably the best game of the 11th region All A tournament. Sayre controlled tempo, and Frankfort was Jekel and Hyde (sp?) again. Duby with 30. Sayre's guards did a good job handling pressure all night. Pergande with game saving block at end of game. Very exciting game. Sayre gets date with LCA Saturday in finals. Good luck to the Spartans.

Ive seen a couple of these teams, early in the year. LCA could fill top 5, Frankfort has some talented players, Washington and Robinson, Sayre had 3 that I remember, center, pg, and wing(dubly), saw them at Bourbon, and Model had a pg who was quick. Coach Jackson gets a lot out of his Berea team. -
Bob Eades resign at Bourbon County?
Professor7 replied to Equipment Change's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Take it for what its worth, Sosby is an outstanding young coach. Coach Eades was a good coach as well, but stepped aside. Very unfortunate for kids, but couldn't ask for a better replacement. A Bourbon guy, who wants nothing more than to make them succesful. Time will tell. As for now, no reason to judge him on this season. Just wish him the best.
