:thumb: What about players from the old Deboise school in Mt Sterling? Believe it burnt down in the 60's

What about Butch Beard at Breckenridge County, I believe he was a pretty good player. Also, Clem Haskins wasn't too bad either. Can't remember where he went to high school.

Covington Catholic - many worthy candidates as has been discussed. I would cast my vote for Randy Noll.

 

Covington Holmes - hard to argue with the suggestion of Dickie Beal & Doug Schloemer. My personal favorite is Leo Foster who went on to play major league baseball rather than pursue his considerable basketball skills.

Richie Farmer won a state championship for Clay County. Now, Richie could really shoot for a High Schooler, and of course he went on and played for U.K.!!!

I would argue that on any given night, Russ Chadwell was just as good as Farmer for Clay County. Fantastic player.

I would put Keith Peirsall and Ken Lee on this list as well. Good solid players. I think Fawns is the best ever out of MCHS though.

Estill Co. has to name Brian Kiser (UL) as it's best ever. Great person also.

I would add Tony Muncie, Skip Johnson, and Larry Long to this list although Johnson and Long played their first two seasons for old Irvine High before the consolidation. I've also heard that Guy Strong was a heck of a player for old Irvine High School.
