September 6, 201115 yr If Maryland picked one of the two designs on the helment and used it, I think it wouldn't have been as bad. Throwbacks are always fun.
September 6, 201115 yr I know I am in the minority, but I loved Maryland's uni's. I loved the matching armbands and shoes. I can see where the checkerboard rubbed folks the wrong way, but I think it was different and pretty cool.
September 7, 201115 yr Yes, I read it. It quotes a few kids and one guy says it's the uniforms more than anything else. That doesn't speak for all the kids or even the majority and it doesn't say it's the only reason. I'll get used to what I feel like getting used to, not what you want me to and I'll never get used to ugly. Adapt and move forward or get left behind? I guess that's what Auburn and Alabama did the last couple years, adapted to drastic uniform changes so they wouldn't get left behind.... I couldn't care less about what you think is asinine. You failed to acknowledge, again, almost everything that was said. You don't get it. Next topic... Edited September 7, 201115 yr by Bench
September 7, 201115 yr I didn't realize the helmet design was based on the Maryland state flag. Speaking of which...let's start a dumbest state flags thread.
September 7, 201115 yr I didn't realize the helmet design was based on the Maryland state flag. You must not pay attention to the Ravens' uniforms.
September 7, 201115 yr Speaking of which...let's start a dumbest state flags thread. It's interesting how people's tastes differ... I think Maryland might have the best state flag in the entire U.S. and I loved the way it was used on the University of Maryland helmet.

September 7, 201115 yr I get that you don't like that I dislike the uniforms. Get over yourself.Very informative as usual.
September 7, 201115 yr For the record, stating that a HUGE factor in kids deciding on college's like Oregon is because of the gear is 100% factual, not opinion. Of course, it's not for every kid and it isn't likely to be the only factor, obviously. But to discount the impact of gear seems out of touch. And, what we've seen the last 3 years out of Oregon shows how they'll sustain, the same way Alabama, Penn St...etc's sustains with tradition. Oregon always have more, new, cutting edge gear.
September 7, 201115 yr You all don't get this. . Why is that we are the ones that don't get it, because someone has another view? I don't see the top traditional schools losing many recruits that they really want. They rely on reputation, not some lame butt markting gimmick. Did all these uniform designers go to the same clown college? That or Phyliss Dillar, Elton John were their main consultants. And it won't last, tradition will. That my friend they cannot get around. Apparently Ringling Brothers is their uniform designer. Its seriously hard to watch this game. :puke::lol: Vegas show girls. Fine, you're entitled to your opinion, but you can have these uniforms. Like I said, it won't continue to keep getting recruits, so it won't last and they'll be back to mediocrity. IF they ever really leave medocrity. You failed to acknowledge, again, almost everything that was said. You don't get it. Next topic... :ohbrother: You have a point (says you). How dare anyone disagre with you? You are obviously no doubt the final word on this and no other opinion matters. :notworthy:...................
