I didn't follow the game at all, but is this the best 9th region final ever? 4 OT's. Wow.

 

Since I have only been with Holy Cross for five seasons, I have heard many references to the 1991 Regional Championship game played at Campbell County HS (now the Middle School) as being the best ever. This is mostly since Holy Cross was the 9th rated team in the region prior to district play and that game went two overtimes. I believe the final in that one was Holy Cross 77 Holmes 75.

This was the best, most fairly officiated, high school game I've seen in many years.

 

Brian Sandlin is probably the best high school official I've seen.

 

wasn't so from my seat. Hightchew flopped what 3 times on a shot that was blocked and got the call. The Geisler travel in O.T.. what was the total fouls per team? I'm guessing it was pretty lopsided until NC had to foul. and by the way I was a neutral fan. Just what I saw.

A big Congrats to the Muntis family. I saw daddy Bob "The Tree" Muntis in the stands going nuts and cheering his son and the rest of the Colonels. The kid hit some monster FT's at the end.

Somebody told me not only can he get it done on the court when his team needs him, but he is the man in the classroom. Great job kid.

The folks in Hebron think the 1993 finals was the most exciting.

Coach B is pretty emotional. He seemed PO'd that his defenders were leaving the shooter wide open. I took it as complete and utter frustration.

 

This may be true and im sure a bunch of us would be just as ticked off....but other Coaches in the area have taken a lot of heat for the same antics and showing frustration from other BGP posters.

 

I think Coach Brannen does this a lot while on the bench and its part of his style....but in my opinion he looks like pretty rediculous doing it. Kinda embarrassing.

Could of sworn Pike got 6 fouls today. I thought he had 2 in the first Q, then 2 more in the 3rd Q. He then had two more after that. Anyone?

 

I remember thinking when he picked up his 3rd that is was his fourth, but I guess they called his 3rd on someone else, because the team fouls were never off.

I would replace Pike. He didn't anything in the 1st gm. against Highlands. foul trouble. He did have a very good gm. against Boone. and just a so so gm today. Stanberry had 3 good gms. and was a major part in todays win.

I think Brannen was upset no one was by him. Not trying to distract Hatton.

There was one instance where everyone thought Pike picked up a foul when he blocked a shot down low, but they called the foul on Hassel. Pike even thought the foul was called on him as he jogged towards mid court with the ball.

Overall I think he's pretty solid, a bit over animated but I do get a kick out of some of those animations.

A bit over animated is a understatement! He is hilarious!!!! But does a good job.

I think Parker Stansberry hurt NCC more than any other Dixie player. He was a hugh influence on offence, and defence. Hatton's heroics in the OTs earned him the mvp.IMO. Dixie in 2012 = WOW

Parker was an absolute beast on the court. He altered many of NCC's shots and was a big offensive asset. Started the game 3-3 from behind the arc and hit many mid range jumpers throughout the course of the game.

I know the history on that game too and if I was part of Holy Cross back then I might be hurt by that statement, but since I was not, I will leave it alone.
