Loved the movie. As for the lack of contractions, is that how people spoke back in the day?

Needs to recognize that without these kind of remakes the next generation wouldn't even know who John Wayne was.......

Has anyone seen this yet? I'm not sure how it's gonna stand up to the older version but it does look like its gonna be a superb movie.

Not only stands up to ,but surpases the old version !!

Just got back from the movie. Another Coen Brothers masterpiece. They can do no wrong as far as I am concerned. This is the best movie of 2010 in my opinion. Bravo!! Bravo!!!

I saw the remake version this past week and thought it was a good movie. However, I am an old school kind of guy and much prefer the John Wayne version to this. I did not care much for the accent Bridges was trying to use through this movie.

I haven't seen the movie yet but can understand where you're coming from, seems like this film was more of a theatrical production than a remake; kind of like they took the original film and tried to make it more real, the way the writer may have anticipated the first production. This is just my take on things and I'm really looking forward to seeing this film.
