GrizzlyAdams
Has anyone seen this yet? I'm not sure how it's gonna stand up to the older version but it does look like its gonna be a superb movie.

MJAlltheWay24
I am a pretty big fan of most of the movies that Jeff Bridges comes out with and I look forward to see this one!
The Professor
From the previews it looks like it is an exact copy of the original, word for word. Most remakes change the dialogue around a little. The original was great, as was its sequel, Rooster Cogburn.
formerkywrestler
Normally I'm not a fan of remakes but this is one I can get behind for sure. Coen Brothers and Jeff Bridges together is too good to pass up.
titletownclown
Just got back from the movie. Another Coen Brothers masterpiece. They can do no wrong as far as I am concerned. This is the best movie of 2010 in my opinion. Bravo!! Bravo!!!
hrcarrier
I'm looking forward to seeing it. My wife and I plan to watch it soon, but could never tell her father that. He nearly considers it blasphemy that one of John Wayne's best movies has been remade.

Needs to recognize that without these kind of remakes the next generation wouldn't even know who John Wayne was.......
ladiesbballcoach
I have a hard time going to see this one and thought it can't be as good as the original but you guys have made me want to go see it.
John Anthony
I was expecting a lot more from it. Kinda like an Appaloosa but I liked that better. True Grit is funny and it makes its point but I just expected more.
formerkywrestler
I quite enjoyed it. From what I know of the novel this film seems to stay truer to the novel than the John Wayne movie.
Colonels_Wear_Blue
I quite enjoyed it. From what I know of the novel this film seems to stay truer to the novel than the John Wayne movie. I saw it last night. It did stay truer to the novel. It was an EXCELLENT movie. Did anyone else notice that hardly anyone ever used contractions when they spoke?
