I'm convinced it's a Dean Smith conspiracy and now that UNC has picked up the W against UK Kanter will be ruled eligible by Monday evening, maybe as early as Saturday 8 pm ET. The presser will be an ESPN event called "The Reinstatement" Later we'll find out that the NCAA is actually run by ESPN.

Enes will re-anounce that he's taking his talents to the Bluegrass.

This saga with Cam Newton and Now Kanter could be what the NCAA needs to overhaul its system. The NCAA is getting heat over Newton and they are in a lose lose situation with Kanter.

If Uk does win this appeal, many people will be surprised!

I would like to point out to everbody that Kanter is projected as the Overall Number 1 in the 2011 NBA draft and he still WANTS to play COLLEGE BASKETBALL!

That shows how the kid really wants to go to UK. Just let the kid play.

FREE ENES!

The NCAA backed themselves into a corner with the Newton decision this past week.

The similarities:

Neither Cam nor Enes are deemed to have known how their parents were handling things. Cam didn't know his father was shopping him around, Enes didn't know the parents had any money the NCAA would deem excessive.

The BIG difference:

Intent. Cecil Newton knowingly was attempting to cash in on his son's talents. Cecil knew it was an NCAA violation. Enes' parents, on the other hand, tried to do the best they could to meet guidelines but fell short of the letter of the NCAA law.

I'm not sure they have any other choice but to Free Enes now...

Since when does the NCAA care about corners? Money talks. If UK wants to win the appeal they will IMO.

If it was that easy he would have been playing already.

If it was that easy he would have been playing already.

If it were that easy there never would have been a formal investigation period.

If it were easy, you'd be entering the cheat code into your X-box about now

He would have been suspended no matter what. You can't just declare a guy eligible that took $33K too much.

Why not?

Apparently its okay to shop your kid around for 180k. Whats 33k compared to that?

Because Newton never got the money Kanter did................................That is the difference..........Seriously take the Blue colored glasses off for a second. Now obviously UK felt they could not win the appeal or other wise they would have stuck with that instead of causing more of a delay.

Now do i feel the kid should be ineligible? No..................but some of you are stretching this into poor UK they are the martyr here against the big bad NCAA. Well..................if Kanter went to Washington you would not care one bit so lets not go over board in our UK is fighting the good fight for some moral reason...................They are fighting to get a recruit eligible and they should but lets not cannonize the university for sainthood.

I bet if it were Notre Dame making the appeal you wouldn't say that! lol (Would that make them Notre Damsel in distress?)

Hey Notre Dame is already in sainthood..................................:D

And this is as close as I come to saying anything positive about your state university................
