Is Sullivan playing? I would have to say that not having him hurt against ryle. I saw bits and pieces of it on the internet but I think if HHS is playing a running team, that's the guy! Does anyone know if he's playing or not?? Will be fun to watch those two meet in a hole! WOW!

 

Coach Mueller has the same weekly injury report as Bill Belichick. Will Sully play? Will Compton play? Will we see more action from McCoy? All 3 of these guys could start on any team in the state, and they haven't played in weeks (other than McCoy last week to ice the game).

This game could come down to special teams. More often than not teams from Northern Kentucky have a huge advantage on Eastern Kentucky teams when it comes to the special teams department. Field position will be a key to JC's success. That being said I think the Eagles get the W. JC keeps the ball controls the clock and tempo and makes just enough plays to send home the Bluebirds. Thanks for the wealth of information regarding the HHS game this Friday. If you want to root for JC this Friday, I have one seat left in our van if you would like to attend the game. I'll get you to the game, but can't promise a ride back.

This game is one I think could be a problem for the Bluebirds.....................I hope it is not but not knowing the injury situation makes this a tough pick. I lean towards JC slightly in this game. Hoping of course I am wrong.

Based on jude's description above, JJ Jude sounds similar to Vocke from Beechwood - average size, great balance, breakaway speed. Would the fans who have seen both agree with that?

I do have a question for the Highlands faithful when it comes to special teams. Highlands has had a lot of kicks blocked this year, is this not a concern? I'm sure that it is for the coaches, but I can't remember a year where Highlands didn't have a huge advantage over everyone on special teams. This year, they don't.

I have cheered for and watched Highlands plenty of times. Did you not make this comment in an earlier post this year? You don't have a clue of what you are talking about.

Jude is in my opinion a much more physical player than Vocke. Doesn't have the water bug moves that Vocke does. More of a slashing type runner. Sort of between an Elliot and a Vocke in style. Jude is the best RB I have seen this year (and of course that would include those two, who are both exceptional RBs).

I think he/she feels a bit angst because HHS supporters called him/her out after the obnoxious posts before the Middletown and Ryle games.

I think some are forgetting how depth may come to play in this game.

 

Highlands will dress over 120 kids with 80 of them being soph through senior.

 

With JC playing so many kids both ways, I see it being the Golden Eagles that are worn down by mid third and early 4th quarter. It's been like that the past 3 years. I don't see it changing this year. Especially with all of Highlands speed.

 

I use to think that as well but teams have shown differently. These boys have been doing it since August probably and its easier to do it now than it is when its in the 90's out.
