That's pretty solid. I'd expect the same tonight, and hopefully a similar result.

Travis Wood, Johnny Cueto and Mike Leake will pitch Sunday-Monday-Tuesday, respectively, Dusty Baker said today. The Reds had been listing those dates as TBA.

One reason was the uncertainty with Aaron Harang (lower back spasms), who has been on the DL retroactive to June 30.

“He threw the other day and said he didn’t feel anything. The day after, he felt a little stiffness again,” Reds manager Dusty Baker said of Harang. ”He’s been ordered not to throw for a couple days.”

I really hope they don't force Harang into the rotation and take out Wood or Leake if they continue to pitch like they are. I have a feeling a decision will be made based on finances rather than wanting to win ballgames.

I had to DVR the game last night, and I watched it around 1am this morning. It was great to see Cordero challenge hitters inside with his fastball instead of trying to hit the outside corner with everything. I hope he continues that in the 2nd half.

I'll be in Section 136, either row Y or Z tonight. I'm looking forward to seeing Volquez pitch.

Be hard to trade Harang if he's not pitching

There are rumors out there that the Reds might be interested in Kerry Wood. Could there be a Wood / Baker reunion in the future?

Kerry Wood was just placed on the 15-day DL due to a blister on his finger.

The Reds are currently 22nd in both average attendence and %full for home games. With the team they have this year I would have thought that would be much higher. They have only sold about 55% of their tickets so far this season.

Great job last night by Rhodes and Cordero late. They should have split that save. Classic example of why a great setup man is important. Rhodes faced a much more difficult situation than Cordero.

I said "here comes the wuss" when he entered the game. Then he comes in throwing that nasty stuff in on the hands with movement. Someone has apparently had a serious talk with him. Let's hope he doesn't revert back to his "wuss" form.

If he throws inside, inside, inside, he's a different pitcher. Coco's stuff is too good to be nibbling on the corners to .240 hitters.

Game is sold out tonight...

Wow, I can imagine a big crowd tomorrow and probably near capacity when that Starborough kid pitches.

The waitress may herniate a disc carrying the load of free food Brantley just ordered.
