With one of the fasted runners in the MLB on third and only one out, why not pull a Krumps and do a safety squeeze to tie the game? I know, I know, you don't bunt in the majors!

Just phone in the "L" on Sundays from now on. Cook was good today but a better approach at the plate by the Reds and they would have won this one.

I like it. Too bad you aren't the manager and the one that we have is.

I would have liked the squeeze play there as well. On the radio they said that the infield was playing deep for the double play ball. With Stubbs speed on third, and Heisey's speed at the plate, I think it would have been a good opportunity for one.

 

Another pretty solid outing for Wood...offense just used up the juice on Saturday I guess.

I do think we need to talk about this club's starting pitching. Shut down the Rockies who had been tearing it up in July. Even the they don't hit, this staff will keep them in a pennant race.

Cards back in 1st... Capped off a sweep the Dodgers in the 4 game set with a 4-0 comeback.

On Sunday's, the Reds just don't have any intensity. They just go up to the plate and swing at the first pitch. Cook had 59 pitches in the 6th inning. I guess it is just to hot. One of the best offensives in Baseball and get shutout 11 times. Hard to believe.

After taking 2 of 3 from the Rockies the sky is, once again, falling...
