February 7, 201016 yr Detailing cars for my step-dad. I did that off and on and through the summers for about 10 years.
February 7, 201016 yr My first real paying job was as a carpet/flooring installer's helper for my uncle one summer. Worked long hours, 6 days a week at age 11 for $15 a week. Cash money I also mowed grass and did odd jobs in the neighborhood starting at age 12/13. Bagging Groceries at the local Piggly Wiggly age 16 (1st legal job) Receiving clerk at Watson's Dept Store age 16 Shoe salesman at Kinney's Shoes age 17 Landscaping during the summers for local garden center, several summers Athletic Attic selling shoes/clothes, age 18 Lifeguard during the summers when I was in college I always seemed to have at least one part time job, usually more than one. The grass mowing/landscaping was a sideline. The above list is some of the jobs I did before I went to college, but I left off drowning cats, lol.

February 7, 201016 yr Grew up in northern Ohio. So shoveling snow was my first job. Could make some pretty good money for a kid. Then came raking leaves and mowing lawns. My first job on a payroll , like nWo, was at a Perkins Pancake House. Not the same one. 1975, I made $1.65 an hour.
February 7, 201016 yr Help my Mom doing the housework for a quarter,and a little later in life cutting the lawn (about an half acre) for a dollar,now that was back in the late 50's and early 60's.
February 7, 201016 yr I was a waiter. Still remember my first check it was for 100 dollars and some odd change.. I went nuts.
February 8, 201016 yr Got $10 a day for putting up hay and tobacco during the summer, stripping tobacco in the fall, and setting out tobacco in the spring. That starting when I was 13. My first job for a business, instead of a farmer, was for Pizza Hut in Corbin for $1.60 and hour in 1975.
