January 3, 201016 yr What's the point in debating this? It was one second in a game that contained 2,400 seconds... The consensus seems to be that he should've gotten a technical foul but not ejected -- Which is exactly what happened. I don't know if it was intentional or not or if he took a knee or whatever, but it's done so why not move on to other parts of the game worth discussing?
January 3, 201016 yr This is getting comical. Elbow?? My gosh, there are a bunch of videos out there people...watch them. It was a soft forearm, after the knee to the head, and yes I do believe he knew the situation and knew where his knee was going to land. I see rougher scrums for loose balls in middle school games everyday. You all are a bunch of crying sissies. The so called UK fans calling for a benching/suspension are comical as well. I think Cal can handle the situation. The only thing that Cuz is going to cost us if he continues to play like this is a National Championship.
January 3, 201016 yr Good points Hangman...UL fans will labor on this as they did saying Sparks walked when inbounding the ball a few years back. Refs reviewed it for a few minutes and made their rulings. It was a tense game from the pregame jawing, to UL not participating in the starting lineups, to UL refusing to shake hands at center court, to Bledsoe's jawing, to Cousins's youthful exuberance. At least they settled down and played some ball from that point forward.

Yes he threw a forearm, not an elbow and lets at least get that straight and he got a "T" on it and it was deserved, nothing else.......... (after the deliberate knee to him) and imo to any U.L. fan or other that may be complaing about it.....tell your players and fans that if they can't take it then not to dish it out. That goes for all the pregame junk as well. I said it before and am gulty as anyone and apologize for posting more on it so I will say it again.......This game (and my talk on it) is over.
January 3, 201016 yr One thing that I am very proud of is we had two 10th region boys playing in this huge game. Miller and Knowles.
January 3, 201016 yr I have watched the replay and both fans are wrong. The knee was thrown on purpose as you can tell in the video. It did not connect with his head. There was no elbow just the forearm coming down. It was on purpose also. Refs got it right. Get over it best team won. Louisville fans are looking for anything they can that is negative towards UK. UK fans would back up there players even if they hanged someone from center court. Funny.......So funny.
January 3, 201016 yr to FBisKing: "What does that have to do with basketball?" - Punk/Thug is a comment about Cousin's character, not just basketball. IMO an elbow/fore arm shiver in the heat of competition does not necessarily make him a punk/thug. However Pitino's open affair followed by paying the "lady" off to have an abortion does put him in the category of punk/thug in my book. If we're comparing character..........

I certainly didn't see anything out there on the court that was comparable to an abortion.
January 3, 201016 yr After just watching it about 7 times, I am not even sure that Swop's knee made contact with Cousins' head....the opposite can't be argued.      You have seen the video and the still photo of his knee hitting Boogie in the head right?
January 3, 201016 yr I did say that.....I also don't necessarily care...but a hard elbow to the face, and a baby stomp to the stomach are two completely different things. Now, my memory is super fresh on this, but did the refs in the Duke game have the replays at their disposal? Not sure. "A hard elbow to the face"???? Have you even watched the video of this incident?

Now, my memory is super fresh on this, but did the refs in the Duke game have the replays at their disposal? Not sure. It wasn't an elbow, it was a forearm, and it came in the middle of a scramble for a loose ball. It was in the heat of the moment. The Laettner stomp to the chest was totally unprovoked. This doesn't even come close to matching the Laettner stomp IMO. As far as the replay back in 1992, I don't think they went to the video, but I can't say for sure.
January 3, 201016 yr This is a serious question...why does Wall get cramps so often?? Is it because of how many minutes he plays? How hard he plays? Or do some people just have this type of problem?
January 3, 201016 yr This is a serious question...why does Wall get cramps so often?? Is it because of how many minutes he plays? How hard he plays? Or do some people just have this type of problem? I would say it is the last two you mentioned. He runs like a wild man on defense and I think he gets overhyped in some situations which make him prone to cramps.
January 3, 201016 yr I would say it is the last two you mentioned. He runs like a wild man on defense and I think he gets overhyped in some situations which make him prone to cramps. I think the two most common causes among athletes are muscle fatigue, and poor stretching habits to go along with poor hydration. Leg cramps affect people training hard, particularly running, and the most common site for cramps is the calf muscles.
January 3, 201016 yr Why does no one speak of the knee he took to the side of the head BEFORE he threw the elbow. I don't think the knee was intentional but it would make anyone throw the elbow. I saw that I don't know if it was intentional but Cousins still has to control himself. If he KO'd the kid he forarmed it would have been on ESPN like a Saturday afternoon LaGarrett Blount special. 99% of big blue nation has prescription blue blockers. But this kid needs an attitude adjustment. I know he is a GREAT bball player and as i've said numerous times bball will never be his problem in life. Alabama Larry hinted at things he did not want to talk about in length about his HS days either. Is it really that uncommon for an 18/19 year old to have a bad attitude? Are we not supposed to correct it because they are good for 20/20 each night? I know UK bball players are superhero's in the state of KY but they are also kids who are growing up.
