Kentucky 71 Louisville 62

Everybody knows I'm a Duke fan first on here. I'm a UK fan 2nd since I go to school here. Just because Cousins plays with emotion he's a thug? That doesn't make any sense to me. Cousins reacts to certain situations, he doesn't cause them. He is a heckuva player and he uses his emotions as an asset. I'll take that on any team any given night. I would LOVE it if Cousins played for Duke. Does he take it too far every now and then? Maybe, but he's a 18/19 yr old freshman. Woo hoo, doesn't mean he's a thug.

Louisville fans need to stop hating... Cousins isn't any more of a thug than the majority of your team.

UK proved today they don't have to be on top of their game every time to win, they can pull out an ugly one when need be.

A friend at the game said there was a lot that went on that TV didn't show to get Cousins amped up. Good gameplan by Pitino to get the young guys torn up. I was suprised how torn up Bledsoe got. In the end UofL looked very timid the first half I thought. I reminded me of watching nervous high school kids shoot the ball. Some shots were flat ugly from nerves! UK played nice half court D which hurt UofL too. There was a point when I thought UofL might go into halftime with only 10 points and that's no joke!

UofL showed flashes of how they can be tough if they score when they can press.

Cousins always plays with a chip on his shoulder, so what do you expect in a huge rivalry game with all the pre-game chattering going on? You can label him a "punk", "thug", or whatever, but fact is he can flat out ball when he puts in his full effort. This UK team goes as far as he takes them.

People just need to realize if a guy like Boogie is on your team then you love him, and if not, you can't stand the guy...

WWWHHHOOOOO

In order for MOST teams to be successful, in this day and age, they MUST recruit kids with questionable moral character and temperment. Fact of life. The funny thing for me is that this is exactly what U OF K fans used to say they HATED about certain teams and now they have become what they hated for the sake of wins. No doubt that as a coach I would take every one of them. I WANT TO WIN! I am enjoying the hipocracy.

U OF K BEAT OF OF L. U OF K was and is the better team. U OF L will be fine, life as we know it will not end with this loss.

I am just having way to much fun with it!

GO CARDS!!!!!

The only thing that really made me sick in this game was the fact that Cousins is a young man who needs to be reeled in. He has very little discipline and should have been ejected this afternoon.....other than that, it was a great effort by both teams. They both played very poorly, they're lucky they were playing each other.....lots of stuff to build on for both programs.

He doesn't have enough tats to be a punk, now some of the UL players well.

Guess, I am a thug punk......hahahahah

UK fans have been asking for an enforcer type player for a long time now, and it appears Cousins fits that mold. He makes me shake my head a lot, but he really is a talent... If he could just hold a little more of that emotion in, he could take his game to another level.. Ahh well...

Glad to see UK get the win... First time that one side has swept the football and basketball competitions in the same year since (I believe) 2003 when Louisville did it.

Maybe this is why Cousins reacted the way he did. Need more proof that he was kneed in the head?

No one has denied that he was hit in the head.

That would make a great birthday present for her.:notworthy:

Yes...

I remember thinking last year after Sosa's three went in to beat UK that Patterson and Meeks were leaving and I don't see us beating Louisville for a long, long time. What a difference a year makes. Thanks to John Calipari and his boys.

Early in 2010 and RockMom takes another hit. Cousins is from Alabama and I know some stuff about him, but we all were young and need a chance to grow and he will. I'm an ex Ref and he should have not got thrown out. Refs should have stopped the game and call over the Head Coaches and tell them to control their players or they are gonna watch the game in the locker room.

Maybe they did but I didn't see it on TV.

The Cousins stuff isn't really bad, just has some control issues that you saw today. And he had to miss some games for his lack of this control. Bama comes to Rupp early February.

Pretty much how I thought this game would be. Just glad to see the Cats get the W.

This is beyond funny. Every UL fan that supported T-Will and acted like he did nothing wrong. He pulled a gun on a teammate for God sake.(Allegedly) Deuce you were always a strong supporter of him and your going to town on Cousins is kind of funny. Throwing an elbow in a very emotional game doesn't make you a thug, it makes you immature. Acting like T-Will does. I'm not justifying what he did or saying it was OK, I would have understood 100% if he was ejected but he wasn't.
