UK free throw shooting in the first half was the biggest thing that kept the Cards in it.

 

 

Missed this....credit the Louisville defense for fouling when they knew UK wasn't hitting free throws.

Well, I'll be the first to admit to celebrating moral victories.

 

I think that if Louisville can overcome the kind of first half they had offensively, and lose to UK at home by only 9, that they're a LOT better than most people think, and our chances look good going into Big East play.

 

 

I don't think anyone doubts Louisville is a very talented basketball team. They struggled early against some teams they should have beat, but they were dealing with injuries. I was surprised that even some of the die hard UofL fans seemed ready to give up on them. Pitino will have this team peaking by tournament time, and I hope the Wildcats don't have to play them again this year.

I think the point is that the game was chippy from the opening tip. Cousins had the most questionable play, but there was a lot of it going on out there today. He deserved a T and got one. I'm not sure what all of the fuss is about.

I'm a UK fan. I've said all year Cousins needs another year in college to mature. He was wrong. Both teams were intense early. UK is a much better team. They are good enough to win it all ONLY if they hit 3's like they did the other day. To me shooting outside and health will control how far UK goes. UofL played scared early IMO. Cousins was a man inside and Patterson quietly had a nice game.

Wall seems like he can take control anytime he feels like taking control. UofL went up 1 and it was game over. He decided at that point that he was putting the Cats on his back and ending the game. He is amazing! Another nice win for the Cats!

I hope all the outsiders that used to give the sorry arguments that KY didn't deserve Tubby or Gillespie now realize we do know our program better than outsiders. Cal is in a very very elite league of coaches that get the best of the best talent which is what UK demands. We aren't going to lower our standards to be some program that hoovers in and out of the top 25. It sure is fun having a Coach that can get the best of the best!

Coach Cal 1 Coach P 0 in the battle of the Bluegrass! Should keep getting better and better with UofL getting the new arena. I look for KY to shortly follow getting a new one themselves.

I don't see how you card fans stand to play in the Big East when that goes on every game and you complain about one forearm that wasn't even thrown at the guy. If he had really thrown it then yes it was dirty, but he didn't. Maybe you should remove you're glasses too. Have fun in the big east and don't get hurt.:deadhorse:
