Think about it, I know it will come back to you! However, they may have not played in the games against UK but in our tradition they can't stand it because Duke & UNC don't have the most wins in College Baskestball history! The Black headed anchor for sure yesterday on CBS Sports is a UK Hater & a Duke lover! Remember UK 1978 - 1996 Duke Defeats! Also, UNC knows that UK has more win, more National Titles, and we lead in the series with the most wins in the many years we have played them!

This post made my night....thank you, sir......

Saying UofL is fallen in basketball is pretty silly. They've been to 3 of the last 5 elite 8's. They are off to another slow start, but calling UofL a mediocre program at this point is very funny to me. Heck, UofL might have a bad year, that still doesn't make them a mediocre program. It's quite humerous to see these comments coming from UK. UofL football, has fallen beyond medicrocy, hopefully they will fix it soon.

Like I've said over and over in this thread. UK was the better team, they won the game. End of story.

I still think it's early to say that the Cardinal Basketball team has fallen to mediocrity.

He did say Cardinal Athletics, which (to me) means the entire athletic program. Considering the success of both basketball teams last year, and the success of quite a few other sports, I think his assertion is erroneous.

But, be that as it may, this team has a long way to go, and I think they'll finish well. The good thing about basketball is there are a lot of games left to play, and I think Coach Pitino is among the best at getting his team where they need to be by the end of the regular season.

Good luck to the Cats this year. It would be nice to see them finish undefeated. That would be a great story, last year to this year. Enjoy your season.

He certainly is. I was scared to death in the last minute of the game and as I watched Rick in the press conference I remembered our good years at UK where it was never over. UL will be ready.

I agree

There was clearly no elbow....none whatsoever.

A forearm shove at the worst.

Not sure their was a knee there either.

Sosa could have been given a T because he came in and shoved Delk and in one angle almost looks like he shoved Cousins as well.

That skirmish was minor when you watch video of the UC/XU game.

Rivalry games, it happens.

How about the Ville outside their lockerroom chanting "We are bad (insert mom and versatile word)" over and over?

Exactly, they are rivals... not friends. No one got hurt, the better team won. Time to move on.:thumb:

What's the point in debating this? It was one second in a game that contained 2,400 seconds... The consensus seems to be that he should've gotten a technical foul but not ejected -- Which is exactly what happened. I don't know if it was intentional or not or if he took a knee or whatever, but it's done so why not move on to other parts of the game worth discussing?

Not speaking for him but he may be eluding to the current underachieving (at least according to preseason expectations) the B-ball team is involved in, as well as the belly flop by the football team. I'm no expert but I think most could care less about the rifle team or arts and crafts team doing well. If the Basketball team doesn't finish well then I would think most people would agree that the face of UL athletics (Basketball and Football) would fall in the ranks of mediocrity...

I couldn't have said it better.:thumb:

Why does Ramon Harris consistently toss the ball to the official after a made free throw or basket (sometimes) by the opposition? As it did yesterday, it allows the opponent to set up the press much more effectively. Watch for this the next time someone presses the cats.

Other than that, his play overall has been much improved as he seems to really understand his role with Coach Cal's system.

I notice him doing it after we make a basket.

He was doing it near the end of the game when UL had to foul. The idea of that is to give our guys more time to get open. At that time, we weren't worried about breaking the press, just needed to get it in bounds.

Often times its not the best thing to inbounds a ball quicky. You'll throw the ball into a bad situation (a corner) or throw it to someone you don't want having the ball against the press.

I get that......but, it seems that getting the ball into the hands of Wall or Bledsoe as quickly as possible is not a bad thing either. I know that Harris made at least one turnover late because he had no option to throw to after UL set up their press. Wall (doubleteam) and Bledsoe were both denied and he threw it away at midcourt.

Wall, yes. Bledsoe, no. Bledsoe plays way out of control right now when teams press him.

Kentucky has really put the pressure on the coach of Louisville, Pitino did not get any recruits the are above the rim players, maybe his situation during the summer hurt, who knows, but his recruiting for the replacement of Clark has been nothing. I think he can't get what he wants or needs anymore.

I would say it is the last two you mentioned. He runs like a wild man on defense and I think he gets overhyped in some situations which make him prone to cramps.

Thanks for your response!

I think the two most common causes among athletes are muscle fatigue, and poor stretching habits to go along with poor hydration. Leg cramps affect people training hard, particularly running, and the most common site for cramps is the calf muscles.

Good assessment, combined with electrolyte replacement with the hydration.
