I have been busy!!!! I met Macie the other day.. she came to my office with my wife... like an Olympian athletically... I called U.K. people afterwards about her. Then she was was second in the region as a junior...wow.

Sure was hot but a great effort by both teams. One of the best games I have seen in a long time at any level; and I missed the first quarter.

FWIW, Bill Curry used to say after Florida put it on UK 73-7 and 65-0 that the Gators had not run up the score but that the defense was supposed to stop the offense. I did not go for that when they were throwing bombs on first down late in the 4th. But as a long time bench warmer in high school I can see this happening with no bad faith. When the subs get out there it is your time to score and the defense has to stop the offense. I would be more curious, as another poster mentioned, if there was full court pressure the entire game. We have already seen balanced scoring so we know the starting five did not stay in the whole time. I would give Estill the benefit of the doubt on that and the previous games Riverside has played.

I was hoping Estill would pull this one out. The predictions may have been accurate that Hazard is just too much for the Engineers. Keep the updates coming.

Ervin Stepp is his uncle or something like that. He was the top scorer in the nation in my high school days. Maybe it was top scorer in Ky. Anyway, it was something like 50 per game.

Thanks King and Professor. I thought my underlings would notify me of special events but they (you two) let me down. It is probably for the best for two reasons. Still sad after Ky loss and I once defeated the Menifee County pole vaulter who I believe had been state champion in a match at Lee Co. (He pulled his back muscle as he was jumping and I had to then clear just 6 feet; which I did handily...on the 3rd try) He might still have some bad blood after that devastating loss.

You will have to keep me up to date on these big events Jethro. I can't believe homecoming is over. Maybe next year. Go Bobcats!!

My high school has never had a football team but I remember CJ when he was at UK. During one game the QB muffed the lateral to him and he ran back and got it and was faced with two defenders ready to tackle him. He faked them out of their shoes and turned it into a huge gain on pure skill alone. Great player.

Does anyone remember a Chris Jones from Danville or Boyle. Maybe not the greatest but he sure was fast.
