Congrats Estill!

Great game. Tied up at 54 with 11 seconds left in regulation, Powell County is able to force OT. Congrats to Estill on there first district title since 1992. Also, congrats to Cackling on winning the Billy J. Hearn award and to Crowe of Powell for winning the Brandon Coldiron defensive award.

How did Christopher do?

Cacklin played really well under pressure in this tournament. He hit the buzzer shot that beat Owsley County in the first round, and hit some tremendous shots tonight that Estill County HAD to have. I think he hit a 3 late in the game that tied the game, and made some crucial free throws in the OT.

Sounds like a traditional 56th finals game, exciting to the end. Congrats to Estill that has a nice team and has to be one of the top 3 favorites going in.

Favorites, imo

2 and 3 Estill/Cordia (even though Cordia lost I still put them up there)

Rest are pretty even.

In regards to saying Estill with an early exit - It is going to be a tough thing to get them out the door.

Perry Central beat them in OT on the same floor and needed a half court shot at the buzzer of regulation.

Cordia beat them 5.

Breathitt beat them 3 at Breathitt.

Hazard and LCC are clear favorites over Estill the rest are toss ups.

How do you put Estill over Letcher Central when Letcher beat Estill by 29 at Estill....LCC is at least a 15 pt better team!

Better team, I can agree with that, but they're not 15 points better. I remember the 29 point loss to LCC, the Engineers did not show up that night, it was one of them mysterious games, LCC could not miss and I doubt that's the case every night, don't get me wrong they're a great team, just not 15 points better.

who got the all tournament team out of the 56th? I hear Cackling got the MVP.

yes he did, IMO i think he deserved it.. very classy boy. great player and great attitude.
