  1. One of their members had two sons that took their lives and is in the film. I specifically remember him from the 2007 premier of the show. Just to let you know that the although Rosemary's boys were killed in a car wreck, others had different losses. Like I said, when you are ready.
  2. You are welcome. I looked it up after I posted and the website is up. Children of the Dome. Reading their story took me back. PM me when you are ready.
  3. NCF...Children of the Dome...Rosemary Smith wrote that book and made that film after she lost her two children in one day in a car wreck. She lives a few miles from me and heads the Compassionate Friends group here in my town. She has been on the Today Show with her book and would be of great assistance I am sure if you ever needed or wanted to get in touch with her. I am very sorry. PM me if you need any numbers and I believe there is a webpage for her film if you want to read about it. Just trying to help btw.
  4. These don't make me cry but could make someone less manly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Weekend in New England got Paul Blart She's Gone --Hall and Oates Never gonna fall in love again--Eric Carmen Let's Pretend--The Raspberries
  6. Mountain Thunder, take it from someone who has been there twice in four years: Think about this. You will be called Brett Favre by Bluto and the gang when you realize you need at least to read the material if not post. 12k post, 5 years is a big investment. I got busy and didn't want to spend the money but you get connected and don't realize it. Ex: (Bluto coming to my swearing in 4 years ago) (Birthday wishes) things like that. Everyone enjoys your posts and YOU WILL miss this. And it is the best news on here and you get it quicker than anywhere. It is also a bad time to be going with football and basketball right around the corner. We all will respect your wishes. Just points to ponder. Go Cats. I always liked your posts
  7. He had a post way back and I did not enclose it correctly. My bad.
  8. This was for PurplePride. The new stuff is confusing.
  9. I have read a lot of your posts and have found you to be reasonable in every one that I have read. I mean that. But I am sincere when I say that you cannot base the school history or your history. I have done that myself. My father explained to me that Duke lost to UK in 1966 in the Nat semis and, had they won, all white Duke would have played Texas Western down the Glory Road instead of UK and maybe we would not have been looked upon as the bad guys in the movie. I was four then and unaware of that. I personally, at 16, watched James Lee dunk the last shot on Duke in the 1978 Championship game for a 94-88 victory only to lose to Gminski and co. the next year. They all count. Twenty years from now all these games this March will seem less impo and will be "dead yesterdays" to the young who have yet to be born. No disrespect intended because not many Duke fans who won the national title after losing Wall to the cats the same year could keep from letting us have it over and over. Just something to think about.
  10. We just had a story last week in a local newspaper here in EKy about several goats mutilated and the Sheriff thought mountain lions did it.
  11. Hey. You had me at hello. Remember our little league conversation on BGP? I got hit by the pitcher and the ump said "take your base" and I said "Third" and was laughed off the field. You hit a home run and cursed the ball...something like "take that b..." and all the young ears heard you. Years ago but I remember.
  12. In 2006 when I joined BGP, for some reason I cannot say I enjoyed all of Gametime's posts. Over the years, like a fungus, he has grown on me and I have found myself reading his, LABS and a few others posts with great intensity because of their accuracy. I noticed it last night when he said Teague to UK. I knew it was a done deal. I even told a few family friends that it was so because I had read it here. Pretty impressive.
  13. I always love OSM but thought this was a dud. And it showed her too much when it should have been showing players. Pendergrass wasn't shown like that.
  14. For you switch hitters....Have you ever gone to a restaurant and eaten both handed? My wife calls me on it all the time. You can get like Dr. Octopus if you are not careful. She says, "You are eating with both hands again!!!!" I thought everybody did but if you think about it, both hands want attention and I use them fully unless called on it.
  15. Believe me...Nothing compares to the 1984 Final Four with evil Georgetown. 29-22 lead for UK at the half and then 3 for 33 shooting the rest of the way. We scored 11 points in the ENTIRE second half with our great team of seniors and juniors and all americans and Kenny Walker and Bowie and Turpin. It was just awful. Missed layups. In the first half we had looked so good, at one point Bowie blocked Ewing's shot and Ewing put it back up and Turpin blocked it. Last night was a walk in the park compared to 84. This year has been fun. Exciting. We have been relevant. We can watch a coach interviewed and not cringe for fear he will yell at an innocent reporter for asking an obvious question. I, for one, am proud of the Cats and the season. Even more surprisingly, GO VOLS.
  16. Channel 18 or 27 used to sign off with a really goose bump raising "Star Spangled Banner" after hours. I have even looked for it on youtube. I wish someone had it.
  17. It's hard to say he has lost it when he beat us last year and was the number one overall seed. When Ky continually thumps UL and they are NIT regulars, where we were last year, get back to me. UL is in good hands as much as I hate to say it. Ask Syracuse.
  18. There can be no argument there. You can see it on his face.
  19. I don't know Larry, it is a Supervan. Plus, once Peyton and I pay it off I don't think I will ever buy another vehicle again. I always thought once I became a lawyer I would drive a Saab or Mercedes but I have my second Odyssey. As Rock Hudson said in "Giant"----"Nothing has turned out like I planned it would." But I really love it.
  20. My wife would like me to clarify "before" should be "after". How is that for loyalty?
  21. I don't know about choking but I sure would like to have some of Peyton's problems today. And I wonder if he would pay off the rest of my 2007 Honda. I know he would refuse to pay off my mortgage. Finally, I fear my wife likes him more than me BEFORE the interception. So I bet it is tough being a millionaire future HOF all star super bowl winning qb; who was pretty good on Saturday Night Live.
