  1. You sound like a wise man to me OR.:thumb: Thanks.
  2. That is great news if it is Frances Bauvier.
  3. I have seen every Eastwood movie and been a fan since I was a boy. I still have the album from The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, which I got as a 15 year old. Imagine that. All I can say is this was a great movie. We call my father Grantorino instead of Grandpa now as a joke because we watched it with him and claim he is grumpy like Clint. He liked it too. Highly recommended.
  4. Congratulations to young Mr. Cackling. He can sure fill it up.
  5. I am afraid that he is my cousin's husband from Jackson County. Very fickle.
  6. The bad part is there is some UK fan already thinking Calipari just can't recruit.
  7. Good luck to you. My roommate in law school loved it. Hope you do as well.
  8. Thanks. Was that you that corrected my misspelling of "to" for me? If so, I appreciate it because it was bugging me.
  9. Just better looking, more muscular and a thinner wallet.
  10. And I thought nobody would miss me. You guys sure make a fellow feel good.
  11. I appreciate your comments guys but it still doesn't soften the blow that I left at the worst time. The tournament, Calipari, recruiting...pretty stupid. If I do this again someone remind me that even if you don't post that you cannot get the news you get here (plus the great company) anywhere else. I'm serious. BGP has insiders.
  12. It really is. This is twice in 3 years I have made the mistake. I knew it after a couple of days but thought I could outlast it. I couldn't. I read the post for awhile and then the subscription really ended and "the cow and milk" came up and I just broke over. Whew. Glad to be back.
  13. I have come back. It is sure hard to get news without BGP. I thought it would be a year or two. Maybe 6 months. Instead I lasted a few weeks.
  14. I wish Rick had never left but I don't want him back either for the same reasons Thomas Magnum mentioned. And if he wins a title this year it may start happening, the callers will come. It just got maddening every year whether he was staying or going and you couldn't get the truth from him made it that much worse. I am content now to be happy for what he did for UK, which was alot, and be able to root for UL and Rick in the NCAA; something I didn't think I would ever be able to do.
  15. I agree on giving him or any other coach a chance or who else will come. Why hire them in the first place. I DO get concerned when I hear him disagree with MB about his role publicly and his representation of UK. When his defense is he is supposed to only win and his employer says that is not his only job I see problems but problems which cannot be worked out. He needs to adjust his attitude with his employer, especially when he is not winning. Winning can forgive alot of sins and that is just a fact. But he is recruiting and if Orton, Hood, Patterson and Meeks are with us next year, Billy may be our hero. As I said in another post, Coach K and Dean Smith were in trouble their first years. Dean actually was hung in effigy (sp) his sixth year I believe and he turned out all right.
  16. I really don't want NC to pass UK but now I'm more curious who your avatar is. I am trying to look past this season.
  17. On HBO "Tobacco Road", a Duke fan said she would root for "all the minions in Hades" (not her words) if they were playing NC. I had some trouble last year with everyone but NC, but I will be for UL this year.
  18. I take it the blonde monkey will support UL the same way including against North Carolina?
  19. I am certainly no fan of UL so this comes straight from the heart: UL deserves to be a No. 1 seed and has had a season I am jealous of. They bounced back from losses early on and their coach communicated with the fans about those losses and what they were going to do about them; and I am jealous about that too. UofL is just exactly where I wanted UK to be so its fans justifiably should be proud of its program and its coach for playing and winning in such a tough conference. Congratulations.
  20. Reptition is the mother of memory. Keep on doing it and it comes.
  21. I was all for BG staying an extra year or two. Then he disagrees with Barnhart on his role. I don't know now. We may have cat that is way too tightly wrapped. I did just see Tobacco Road on HBO and Coach K and Smith were both bombs their first years. I don't know what to think anymore about Coach G except I do what my bosses tell me and he should be jumping and asking where to land. He especially should not be using the winning is my only job defense when he isn't winning.
  22. You are a classic Jim. I forgot how fun you are. I have to hit the sack but we have to post more!!!
  23. As a UK fan, and I speak for most of them I am sure, the shot would have been more difficult to make from the locker room.
  24. I actually feel disliking a program is better than disliking a player. For instance, I root for Duke against North Carolina with passion. Players come and go but since the 70s I have disliked Carolina. I liked Coach Smith and most of his players but the program is competitive with UK, they beat us regularly and I just don't want them to win anything against anybody. Rasheed Wallace is a player who stands out that I disliked but otherwise the NC program is what I don't like. It is sort of like two bullies in a bar who seek each other out I guess and fight for no particular reason.
