I hope to see two halves of basketball played the way we played the first half of the UNC game. If this team puts to halves together like that, I don't know that there is a team in the nation that can compete. Putting them together is the key though...

 

I hate when people say that. When you are playing another great team, you are not going to put together two great halves like that. You have to remember that other team is very good too. Most times against other great teams you won't see runs as good as that. UK needs to find a happy medium of two good halves, instead of one great and one alright one. You hardly ever will see two great halves when you are playing against another great team. Just look at the final four game two years ago between Kansas and UNC. Kansas played a great first half, but there was no way they could play as good of a half again in the second half against another great team like UNC.

UK is the better team and its a game they should win. Can't wait to find out.

Perhaps they were looking ahead to UK, but this was not a stellar effort by UCONN tonight. According to Andy Katz, UCONN lacks outside shooting and they are not very good from the charity stripe going a paltry 26-40 and blowing a 16 point lead.

If they are not good from the outside they will be a perfect opponent for Kentucky. Guarding the 3 is the only thing that's killed us this year, outside of turning the ball over too many times.

I've been looking forward to Wall and Walker squaring off for months. Really excited to see how that one plays out.

 

I haven't had a lot of time to really break this one down, but I think with the pace that is expected foul trouble with either set of starting guards is a huge key. Both teams have solid depth from the 3-5 spots, but Dyson/Walker and Wall/Bledsoe are clearly the horses out top.

 

Expecting a great game that I'd put as a pick 'em if I was a gambler...

I picked UConn, but if UK plays like they did in the first half against UNC, they'll win easily. Depends on which UK team shows up.

So, you are saying if Wall is healthy for the entire game, then we win easily, right? Because that was the only difference in the two halves on Saturday. Wall is the straw that stirs the drink for this team.

If UK controls the glass they win convincingly IMO. I was not impressed with UCONN outside of their athleticism and their main 3 guys. I'll take the Cats by 10.
