January 5, 200917 yr As OR pointed out, they did pressure the inbounds. You don't go all out pressure with the game tied because picking up a foul is much more likely than getting a steal... Different strokes for different folks. When UK was able to put point on the board so easily at the end I'd rather they press, and get the ball back and put their fate in their own hands.

January 5, 200917 yr Sosa hit a lucky 30fter. Porter played it right, Sosa would've blown by him. It should've never came down to that anyway. I have no idea why Clark fell asleep at the end. He wasn't into the game all day. Good win... Me and the guys I watched the game with were hoping for Clark to foul out earlier. He had 7 of the Cards 15 turnovers and was only 2-11 from the floor. Take him out of this game and I think UofL beats this UK team by 10.
January 5, 200917 yr 1. Louisville shot lights out from 3 land. 2. UK had to many turnovers. 3. Edgar Sosa played the game of his life. 4. If Louisville plays like this the rest of the way the will lose some Big East g ames and lose in the 1st Round of the Tourney.
January 5, 200917 yr I was pleased with how hard that U.K. played in this one. Especially coming back time after time when they would get down to draw it close. The Cats could have just as easily folded and quit several times but they didn't. Meeks, Patterson, Porter and Stevenson imo played very well overall. Unforced turnovers really hurt the Cats. U.K. made the plays at the end of the game that we needed to and Sosa just stuck a shot to win the game. I was very impressed with Sosa in this one and not just bc of that last shot. I will say that I thought that Sosa ws trying out for the J. Noah chest thumper award and the end of the game though. I realize he had just hit a shot to win the game over a rival, I don't blame them for celebrating at all. I just cannot stand to see the chest thumping/all me crap from any player on any team. Had the situation been reversed and a U.K. player had done that I would say the same thing. That doesn't really matter though. I hate to lose as much as anyone and more than most:irked: but I will give credit to where it is due.......Congrats to U.L. and to the bgp/U.L. fans. U.K. was beaten by the better team on this night. January 5, 200917 yr Great game by both Teams. BGP wasn't out Coached, but I did expect him to put Liggins in when Meeks was at the line to tie the game. Would of been a little harder for Sosa to shoot over. Again great game, but I honestly do believe UK is the better Team.
January 5, 200917 yr Here's my biggest problem with the game: We gave 4 minutes to Galloway and he was 1-1 for 2 points, 1 steal, and 1 turnover We gave 44 minutes to Liggins, Harris, and Miller and they COMBINED for 1-5 for 2 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, and 4 turnovers There's something altogether wrong with that picture and I'm not defending BCG for it anymore. There is no excuse to not give Galloway more minutes when Liggins is throwing the ball all over the court and Miller looks like he's scared of his shadow.

Take him out of this game and I think UofL beats this UK team by 10. I agree. That's why I am pleased. Samuels was a non-factor, due to fouls, and Clark played one of his worse games of the season. Glad to see the GUARDS finally play a good game, like they are capable of doing. This will be a good win at the end of the season for UofL, I expect UK to win the SEC.

January 5, 200917 yr Both teams still have a lot of work to do, but it was a very entertaining game to watch... Yes indeed a very good game. UK needs to find someone who can help out Meeks and Patterson with some scoring. I like their toughness...thought they were on the verge of hitting the skidsa couple of times. UL...maybe I am somewhat biased, but I think this team desperately misses Padgett. They have no leader out there. T-Will may very well be, but he is errratic. Samuels is a beefy post player that plays below the rim. He is similar to Patterson but I don't think he has the hands of Patterson. UL guards are small... Sosa was good today...but an emotional wreck. Earl Clark simply is too inconsistent. The ingredients are there...but the more I watch them...there is something missing. Congrats on the win. I just wish I knew why? I know that Porter drove and was rejected by Samuel, that would have been Samuels 4th, that is the only thing that I can think of! Supposedly he had been harping on that one ref. He was consistently barking about moving screens. I'm not sure I agree. With as many turnovers as UK had, I was shocked this was even a game. You have to take of the ball, bottomline. They did a decent job after the first 13 possessions where they turned it over 9 times. However, points off turnovers was relatively close for UK and UL. Guard him. :lol: Give him that shot everytime. It would have been nice to have 6'6" Liggins on Sosa taking that shot. No timeouts left...can you count on Liggins to do what he is instructed that late? Can you score in transition off a miss? There were a couple times after timeouts they ran stupid plays that led to poor shots. Other things as well, but I don't have time to go into them all. Stupid plays? BCG is fantastic in O/B under situations. What I saw was poor usage of a ball screen and stupid shot attempt. Honestly, I think that was the play, but not the player. Will Scott was back there too. WIll Scott going one on one for the win? I think it was a dribble-drive situation and a kick. But he had confidence and stuck the shot.
