Wow..Sosa lucky dog. Coach P was all over the court and no T on him? Crazy IMO.

 

UK did fight hard and gave it everything they had in the tank.

Sosa takes that shot 10 times he makes it 2 times. That was all luck. But he did make it so lucky him.

UL is a solid team that will go far in the NCAA.

Both teams still have a lot of work to do, but it was a very entertaining game to watch...

Agreed. Very sloppy play from UK. UL is going to have a tough time in the Big East if they do not learn how to play tougher. They are IMO a top 25 to top 30 team and maybe 5th or 6th best in the BEast.

Do you think that Pitino would have lost his mind at the end had that shot not fallen? Surely that wasn't the play he had in mind with 20+ seconds left.

I am so personally proud of these cats...They battled so hard against a good team in a Hostel environment...They did not quit and played with a lot of Heart...I feel the cats will only feed off of this loss...:thumb:

Great effort by the Cats to tie the game late; they just can't seem to get over the hump against ranked teams. 2 up and 19 down or something like that in the last 21 games against teams in the Top 25.

Turnovers by UK absolutely must get better for them.

Unreal finish! Poor coaching really hurt the Cats in this one, but oh well.

I'm still confused about his substitutions and that's my one HUGE complaint about the guy. I just don't understand them. I don't understand and I don't like his lineups.

 

Galloway is good enough to start but then not good enough to get back into the game. I just don't understand and it bothers me to no end. If a player is good enough to start then they are good enough to play more than 3 or 4 minutes a game.

There were a couple times after timeouts they ran stupid plays that led to poor shots. Other things as well, but I don't have time to go into them all.

 

There was one time in general with 10 seconds, but Louisville went to a sluff man instead of overplaying. It looked like UK was setting up the backdoor, and Louisville took it away. Give Uof L credit. I though after the first 10 minutes when UK was a little wild eyed, they played well.

I really like where this team is in the 2nd year with BCG.

UK wanted but, story of the season, too many turnovers. They had UL in foul trouble, and the Cats controlled the paint. I was proud of Stevenson and the way he played with 3 fouls but didn't shy away from the play happening around him. I thought Josh Harrellson would have been more of a factor but you could tell it was his first big game. Porter played well and hit clutch shots when he needed too. Meeks did all he could do, he is a very special player. The turnovers killed the Cats though, the Cards have like 12 of thier first 16 pts. off TO's.

Overall good game by both teams, it will be interesting to see where the Cats go from here....

I wouldn't be upset at all. UL is the better team and should have beat UK whether it was by 3 points on a buzzer beater or 20 points. This is a rivalry game that both teams get fired up for....I'd be tickled to death if I were associated with UL basketball.

Yeah I saw him there on the sidelines. What was his record vs UK? I really don't know just wanted to figure that out.

A little shocked that the Cards on won by a few in this one.
