January 4, 200917 yr Did Louisville win the National Championship? Because they sure acted like it after they won. Cats didn't give up and played through it all. Come on now. Any team would have acted like that had they won a game on a three pointer near the end of the game, not to mention it being a huge rivalry.

One fell for him...nothing you can do about it. I know, you are right. It's just a shame they had Porter on him. You never know, but I sure would rather have Liggins in there at that point.
January 4, 200917 yr I wouldn't be too optimistic. They are about to head into Big East play, and how they are playing now, may put them in the middle of the pack in the conference. They can't play like they have lately to some of the Big East teams. UK on the other hand is in a very weak SEC and I think they have a good shot to win the conference. UL can turn it around and play like most predicted, but I am not impressed with them at all. I wasn't impressed with UL at all either. I was simply saying you get a win over an instate rival you have the right to pat yourself on the back and be happy. It was a great game.
January 4, 200917 yr Can't say much that others probably haven't, so I will stay out of this thread besides this post. Great shot by Sosa, great come back by the CATS. Patterson is a freaking beast. And UK beats themselves with all the turnovers, which is the trend of the year.

The way Liggins makes bone head plays though, he may have got over aggressive and fouled him on the shot :lol: Like I said earlier, I'd give Sosa that shot every time in that situation. That ball was from DEEP. It fell for him and there isn't much we can complain about. If Porter steps up on him earlier in the play, Sosa may have blew by him for an easier shot. I'm sure that's not the way Pitino drew that one up but it happened that way.

They came into this season with huge expectations, and I have a hard time believing they are good enough to make it.

I love the kid for the fact he's from the state. He'll make a good 4 year player but right now, he has no need seeing the court. His confidence isn't there, he does nothing on the offensive end and gets lost on defense.
