September 14, 200818 yr As of 3:30, there are 137,000 LG&E customers without power in the Louisville area.
September 14, 200818 yr Good course though. Very good course. Even nicer that I only paid 35 bucks to play it.
September 14, 200818 yr Just got home from Bengals game to find patio furniture in the pool, shingles everywhere and my storm door split in half! I'm in Hebron and there was a new building going up by Buffalo Bobs that was probably 40 yards wide and 30 yards deep. They only had the side walls up with metal studs and the entire thing pretty much collapsed.
September 14, 200818 yr The entire lumber yard and big metal wall at Bellevue Home Improvement is in the street. Trees down everywhere. I've never seen anything like this.

September 14, 200818 yr Over half a million poeple in the Cincinnati metro area are without power. I believe the number was somewhere close to 540,000. I know in beachtowns that they close there bridges during tropical storm force winds. I wonder if there have been any closures near the Cincinnati area. September 14, 200818 yr We just drove around the City of Florence and there are trees down everywhere, and not a single traffic light was functioning properly. Crazyness on the roads!

I was wondering why BGP is so boring today, all the NKY people but me are out of power. Wind was a factor at the Bengals game, but not as much as the Bengals being horrible
September 14, 200818 yr 691 thousand without power in our area. My brother was in the Delta hanger when the some blew off. Nobody hurt. Our power is still out. The big problem for me is that I'm running very low on chair power. When that goes, I'm stuck.
September 14, 200818 yr The opening celebration dinner at Valhalla for Ryder Cup had to be moved last minute. It's a mess out there! All the work done to set up for Ryder Cup...God love 'em! The airport closed. We had 75mph winds. Tyler Park, Highlands, Cherokee Park hit pretty hard. We have electricity in my 'hood though, so I'm thankful. Thankfully, as well, our powerlines are underground at work. Because one more crisis during this craziness (not weather related), and I would have just thrown in the towel, walked out, and went to Wal-Mart to be a greeter.

September 14, 200818 yr I talked to my parents down Bowling Green way a couple of hours ago. They said the winds were HORRIBLE down there this morning but I guess they are going to try to get in the opening ceremonies at the Ryder Cup (or whatevery tournament it is) at Old Stone this evening. I guess they had to run the course to put back all the flags but at least they didn't loose them all.
September 14, 200818 yr Here in Danville the wind has been kicking...For the most part I have enjoyed it...A breeze on steroids caused from three day hurricanes...Down trees is bad but I feel change taking effect...I need some change...
September 14, 200818 yr Anyone heard when its supposed to be back on in NKY? Right across the street from us has power. From our side on is without.
