My opinion on the subject is that if a Coach or the Administration knowingly violate the rules it is cheating. I find it very hard to believe that a Head Coach would do such a thing. If one were to Knowingly, and with malace violate the rules they should be terminated. Period. I hate dishonest people.

There is other sports at Johnson Central westsider. We have a state champion (Corey Spencer) wrestler in the 112lbs. weight class and both our basketball teams are playing for the 57th district championship. The girls play tonight, and the boys play tomorrow night, that is where most of the eagle faithful are at. I just wanted to post this, then I'm on my way.

Have you ever thought the student, his family, and friends of the family would appreciate it not being brought back up? I mean they've already been through enough. Trust me. How would you feel if your child, sibling, or self, for that mattter, got a taste of sometime. Then out of no where had it took from them/you over something they/you had no control over. The problem is that when a Private school runs afoul of the rules, the cries of outrage in posts on this site calling for separation, boycott, banishment from post-season, etc., etc., are many. It is reasonable to wonder where that outrage is when a Public school is caught outside the rules. It is also reasonable to want an explanation of the details of the violation in order to assess whether the lack of outrage is justified since we see the Privates vilified regularly in multiple posts upon the publication of the discovery of violations.

I think that people are able to post anything they want to within the rules of the site.... I agree with the ealier posters that private schools get hammered and nothing is to be said about this situation....

The school and people by the school did not follow the rules. If a private school is found guilty of such, it's immediate cause to categorize all private schools as cheaters, etc. A public school does this, and the entire way of doing things within the KHSAA is brought into question, as well. It's ridiculous! As a support of private schools who sees the value of both types of institutions for various reasons, I'm apalled at the lack of posters on this site who will keep mum when a public school is found in violation.

 

If a violation by a private school occurs, every difference between private public schools is brought out to be rehashed to validate the support for a split. Why is there no outcry when a public school violates a rule? Recruiting is recruiting. Those who do so should be punished. Those who operate within the rules should continue on.

 

As someone who's battled the public/private issues, and had to defend the very mission of private schools, I for one am angry when I see no similar response from split proponents when a public school violates a rule.

 

I hear the whole song and dance about tougher KHSAA penalties, etc. But no one wants to kick them out of the KHSAA. It's galling. There are clearly two sets of standards, and it has nothing to do with how the students wind up at a particular school.
