We need to keep the discussion on the Johnson Central situation, and not be talking specifically about other schools.

 

First and last warning.

Does the KHSAA mirror the NCAA? What I mean by that is, does the KHSAA punish the team (and thus players) for the sins of the staff/administration?

How are the players hurt by this punishment? They're still playing a full schedule and eligible for the playoffs.

 

The coach is suspended for two games and the school was fined ... that is punishing the guilty parties.

Didn't it involve one kid who had lived in Johnson Co previously but had moved to McCreary? Co maybe several years ago? Then last year the family transfered back to JC and the kid was cleared by the KHSAA.

 

Then, after another local school filed a complaint, the KHSAA investigated and found that the kid wasn't living where his paperwork said he was?

Now I'm confused...they only got fined $1000? But got probation....did LCA (with their $13000 fine) get probation?

The amount of the fine is for the violations, plus restitution for the investigation. That is why each school that has a violation may have differing penalties, based on the cost of investigation.

I dont know who JC's first 2 games will be against. I know last year, JC played at South Point, OH to open the season then they were home against Conner.

All Watusi asked for was some of the details of the case, which would seem fair game for discussion now that the KHSAA has completed the investigation.

 

Suffice it to say, a lot of us would like to have the whole story laid out for us.
