I will once again take my normal stance:

This is not a public/private topic, as far as I am concerned. This is a right/wrong topic. And Johnson Central was obviously wrong. Until there is a more strict punishment, this will continue. I believe the punishment for any recruiting violation should be: disqualification from post season play for five years, $50K fine, and the player involved should be banned from high school sports in the state of Kentucky.

 

Seem harsh, but that will put an end to recruiting violations in the state. These measly fines will do nothing.

They (The Big Sandy News) still didnt have the reason, just the penalities.

I wasnt going to post on this, but I have a theroy. Maybe the people of Johnson Central would like what happened at Johnson Central to stay in Johnson County. It's already been publicized enough. Have you ever thought the student, his family, and friends of the family would appreciate it not being brought back up? I mean they've already been through enough. Trust me. How would you feel if your child, sibling, or self, for that mattter, got a taste of sometime. Then out of no where had it took from them/you over something they/you had no control over. So I would appreciate if the story wasn't brought back up on this website. Thank you.

What exactly have they been through? I was at the last 3 JC home games and seen the young man not being able to participate but he is at as much fault as everyone else. I am amazed by the JC fans that will not elaborate on this subject and what they have been found guilty of... But continue to pay Mattney the money and things like this is going to continue to happen, IMO....:thumb:

I think that people are able to post anything they want to within the rules of the site.... I agree with the ealier posters that private schools get hammered and nothing is to be said about this situation....

 

By the way , I am a public school supporter....

If you were at JC last 3 home games you would have seen how much it hurt this young man. But you'll never know what the family has been through untill your child or sibling has the olny thing they live for taken away from them, and there's nothing you or anybody else can do about it. And you can say what you want but the young man has done nothing wrong. So how is he at fault?

So he was forced to move from his previous school to come to JC to play football... That sounds like kidnapping to me.. What the # for your local police ??? Seriosly, this kid must of knew he was in the wrong but the thing that gets me is that Mattney had to know and didnt it anyway....

 

Do you think you all can take some money from Mattney's salary and upgrade the bathrooms for the upcoming season ... It wouldnt hurt him cause he was found guilty of making money in real estate.....:thumb:

To me this incident has to be blamed on the HC and the administration.. I know that when you register for school you have to give transcripts and addresses and this should of made a lightbulb go off somewhere.....

Does anyone know if the KHSAA will release a report that says what the findings were???

I honestly think this is a case of the KHSAA giving Matney warning shot across the bow type of thing.

 

 

Meaning "Do not criticize us or CCHS for recruiting rules, we can get you on anything we want because we are the law."

The truth has been mention by me before on this site. But I find theres no need to bring it back up for the sake of the young man having to read it.
