hoops_gal
Heard it at the Prime Time Classic tonight, Leah Sargent has quit the Lady Raiders. Her father said she wasn't enjoying it anymore. Big time loss for Hager's bunch.
FishTie
Is this a fact? If so, tough, tough loss for East.

"old"shooter
If this is true this is a huge loss for East Carter and the 16th Region. She is a quality young lady who comes from a quality family. I have known her mom since she(her mom) was born. I am sure if Leah has left the team she has had a good reason. 85lived
If a kid no longer enjoys playing the game then it is time to step away. While it may hurt the team and you hope if someone chooses not to play they decide prior to the season, you have to respect her choice. It is very possible she felt this way before the season began but decided to give it a try with the hope that she would feel differently once practice started. If she decided it wasn't what she wanted then December is the right time to make that choice as opposed to February. Good luck to her.

notme
I feel if you start the season you should finish the season. That is something that should have been thought out before the season. Finish what you start. Thats what my Mamaw always said! :fight:

flyin'intheflag
That may very well help to explain the rather curious start the Lady Raiders have had to the season since starting out as the preseason #1 pick in the region. I am sure that those voting on such a thing were expecting East's best player to be looking to dominate in her senior season trying to lead the team to the state tournament rather than packing her bags and going to the house. Interesting. The Lady Raiders have some depth and this will give Coach Easterling some time to regroup.
Lights Out 30
I agree if you started you should finish it. But, if it is going to hurt the team then she made the right decision not for her self, but her team. Now they can put a fifth player out on the floor that wants to be there.
