cshs81
If Team A's player touched Team B's player out of bounds then you have a T. 2 shots and Team B's ball at center line. If he didn't touch him, and just jumped out of bounds to be jumping out of bounds you have a Violation for leaving the floor for unauthorized reason. It used to be a Technical foul also, but was changed last year to just a violation. Didn't they also change it so that if its a lane violation that , in the mind of the official, is strictly to stop the clock and there are 5 seconds are less then the official is to ignore the violation and let the clock Run? CCHS_Dad
Team B is still taking the ball out and the arrow does switch to Team A because the ball has been put in play. Remember the arrow does not changed until the ball is put into play. The throw-in ends when the passed ball touches, or is legally touched by, another player who is either inbounds or out of bounds (4-45-2) On the over the end-line jump ball the throw had not ended AP stays where it is. Master of the Hardwood may not agree but over time the AP evens everything out. Somedays it goes with you and some days its goes against you. Preventative officiating would allow the clock to run as long as there wasn't any contact.
