What does Lafayette need to do to improve in 2007/2008? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

With the lost of star players V. Sanford and D. Stewart Lafayette will have to depend more on T. Gifford and his cluth 3-point shooting.

Did Stewart graduate, move or what?

I had heard Dante' might not be playing this year, however, is this for certain, and if so does anyone know if he might be transferring elsewhere. Had the pleasure of having my son playing on the same AAU team with him. Dante' is one of the puriest shooters around. Always seemed to be a great kid.

Rumor has it he got caught up in some things he shouldn't have been in. He still goes to Lafayette, but i heard he can't play until January. Go figure!

Losing their 2 best players who they expected back is a big blow for them in a very competitive 11th region. They may need to start working on developing some of their younger players this year and rebuild.

This probably isn't exactly on target. However...

 

When Mason County played at Lafayette last season, it was in a near-empty gym. Big difference from what we're accustomed to here in the 10th Region, and not just at Mason County. It surprised the heck out of me, as storied as Lafayette athletics has been over the years.

 

I was told that the crowds were better when 11th Region rivals came to play, but again, the fan support wasn't there on the night we attended.

 

Since the thread asks what is needed for the team to to improve, I'll throw in a large, supportive crowd in the stands. Probably not the typical answer to this type of thread, just my $.02.

What you say is very true and sad. It has been that way in Lexington for sometime. The crowds are usually pretty good when city rivals play.
