Well, I wouldn't worry about it.  I'm sure people thought the same thing when UK signed his dad and grandfather.

You threw me a curveball when you said 20 miles down the road.  I keep thinking of Jake and his Maysville roots and not his move to Richmond.  My mind sometimes has senior moments.  I agree with your comments 100% and think Jake is going to be a solid 4 year contributor in basketball unless he gives it up totally for golf.

The amount of people online worked up about this is wild to me. He’s was the third or fourth best player on a team that nobody enjoyed watching go 22-14. Do I trust Pope can find someone better? Not s

Is Pope done trying to fill the roster?  He's not going to get any of these kids that toying around with the NBA draft.

NBA draft withdrawal deadline isn't until May 27th. My guess is they're absolutely going to try make a push for 1 or 2 players that decide to pull out of the draft. And he really needs for 1 or 2 of them to say yes to his offer.

Good luck.

The old man in Israel chose LSU.

They were reporting that would likely be the case last week. I believe they said he will likely start at LSU.

And KSR said LSU likely had a lot of money to throw at him since they have almost no one on their roster.

I'm going to throw this out there and see if what you guys think. With all the negativity on social media, message boards concerning Pope, and the criticism of players, do you think that is a possibility of why some of the top recruits and those in the portal and not choosing Lexington as a destination? It seems to me that Kentucky fans can be some of the most passionate, but also some of the most brutal fan base.

Thoughts?

For sure the case IMO.

I also think Pope took so much criticism for the "$22 million" roster last year that he under valued some of his own guys and didn't get them back for next year.

I understand your question, but honestly I don't think it has any bearing on a kid not wanting to play for UK.  I think the whole problem is the way the program has went backwards the last few years and the current coach.  I believe the coach is a huge problem.

Have you seen other school's message boards? They are pretty much the same as UK's.

Kentucky recently had a zoom meeting with Milan Momcilovic per KSR.
