I use your old quote quite often, that you issued one night during a broadcast as Bellevue was beating up on us.

You commented that "These coaches know that its only a matter of time until Brossart football joins our other sports at being championship caliber."

We have certainly made our mark in Class 1A since then.

Please don’t take this the wrong way, but championship at what level? Admittedly, I don’t follow these things even remotely the same as I used to, but I don’t recall Brossart winning many championships.

Track and Cross Country have been staples of Brossart sports at a very high level.

Girls and Boys basketball have been dominating the All A in the 10th region since joining the region in the early 90's.  Well up until last week.

I know boys soccer has been very high level as well as the girls, in certain time periods in the last 20 years.

Softball and baseball teams seem to always been contenders in district and regionals.

I do agree football has not shown anything to use the term "championship caliber" but all other sports at Brossart have thrived very well since the early 90's.  Some of those (CC and track well before then).

Now some NCC folk still have the belief that Brossart will always be second fiddle and I get that since in the major sports such as boys basketball it took Brossart until the mid 90's to beat NCC for the first time.......but at this juncture their is very little difference in competitive nature of almost all sports teams between the two schools.  Football being the exception.

With the information that was posted in the CovCath thread about Coach Eviston moving to take back his strength and conditioning program from the S&C coach that was hired by the school, that seems like a lot of stirring the punch bowl at CovCath for someone who's allegedly eyeing this job. I don't buy it. Would Brossart consider calling up Lee Teegarden about having another try with their program though? He seems to be doing well with Eviston at CovCath, as does Terry Brown.

Teegarden runs his pops HVAC company now and is no longer a teacher. No chance, they have a better chance at Terry Brown, but even then, Terry has turned down multiple opportunities for head coaching job interviews over the past few years, so I don’t see that either.

CovCath would be irresponsible if they didn’t do everything in their power to keep TB on.

And I think they have done just that.

Speaking of Coach Brown, it is his birthday today!  Happy birthday Coach.

Brossart doing Brossart things.

Love to see it little brother...

A competitive Brossart football team willing to put NewCath on their schedule has the potential to be the biggest crowd in Campbell Co whenever that game is scheduled. That's the only way Brossart erases this perception (in the above quote) that started/lasted as long as Brossart has been alive. They compete in every sport except Football. I wonder if this decision not to play NewCath had an effect on the Wiggins decision. Can anyone else picture the inaugural game on NewCath's brand new field being Brossart vs. NewCath?

I went to my nephews NCC middle school game at Brossart during the 2022 season. 7pm on a Saturday night and it was loud and crowded. You can’t tell me a varsity game between the two wouldn’t be double that. I don’t know why or how this game has never happened, but to me if I’m NewCath, I’m calling every year saying anytime anywhere.

It was the largest (or one of) gates Brossart FB program took in that year (per the BB Principal)

If I'm not mistaken It has happened multiple times in the past, with newcath taking everyone by as much as they want.

Would love to see it back on their schedules now that Brossart has built up a bit more.

Unless I’m Rip Van Winkle, I don’t believe so. A lot can be missed in 20 odd years. If I’m wrong please let me know.

Weren’t NCC and Brossart in the same district in 2A for the few years Brossart was in 2A? So they would have had to play those years.
