Really excited to see Meyer take that next step. Kohler has a ton of experience and Muench learned a lot as well last year. Tillman is another one I am excited to see perform. I hear the QB position was wide open to begin practices. Curious to see how that shakes out.

They will need quite a few to step up. I did see some encouraging play out of some sophomores last year. Meyer boys have bigger roles to fill. Hopefully OL can stay healthy. QB position is a toss up from what I hear. It's going to take a few kids to replace the production of Bivens. I think they will be much more aggressive in terms of scheme on defense overall.

Can't really provide much. When talking to returning players, there has been a definite shift in how they operate and work in the off season. You can tell by the looks on their faces, they cannot hide just how hard it is for some of them as the intensity has ratcheted up. They all say they love it though which is a good sign.

There is more of a chance that Borchers ends up on staff at NewCath than there is Lickert ending up at Cooper.

I had no idea NewCath carried a 14-1 record. I thought the rivalry was much more even. The atmosphere is always great when these two teams play.

I am not trying to predict when, just passing along reliable information. IMO, I think everyone is trying to remain respectful to EVERYONE involved in a decision like this and it's impact. Your prediction on timing may very well pan out in the end.

From a reliable source that a FB team meeting and an announcement is expected to happen this afternoon. From the look on my source's face, it's fixing to be a great day for The Hill.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Connor through Mr. Potter one summer day on the Hill 30 or so years ago. I went home and told my Dad, and it was like I told him I met Jesus in the flesh. The respect and reverence oozed listening to my Dad speak about Coach Connor. I have never seen my Dad hold someone in such high regard. Coach Connor has impacted generations of families.

No denying the difference in success by decades. Appreciate the sentiment on going forward. The culture is on fire up there. The wins will return, just got to stress the importance of having the right butts in the right seats, all paddling in the same direction. We got a good one in Collopy for sure.

You’re comparing a decade when NewCath dominated 2A to a program now competing in 1A. What causes that drop? Enrollment. When enrollment goes down, what follows? Talent shrinks. Depth shrinks. Why did enrollment drop? One major reason: facilities. Legacy families began choosing surrounding schools that invested while NewCath lagged behind due to old debt. NewCath Administration studied this, built a vision and a plan, and significant financial support was ready to follow. Fast forward to today—enrollment is already rising. A beautifully remodeled school and a state-of-the-art athletic complex are about to open. Build it. Provide it. They will come. And the incoming numbers prove this. When multiple programs decline at the same time, that’s not luck or coaching—it’s enrollment, and enrollment follows investment.

LOL... People are going to lose their minds when that interest becomes more well known.

Turnovers have plagued them all year and been the biggest issue. They simply don't respect possessions. They look out of control and sorts. If your offense depends on one guy setting screens and ball handlers picking up their dribble and/or not driving off the screen....not going to be successful on average.

One would have to think CovCath admin have to deal with schools calling on coaches most likely every year. Considering the amount of NewCath people in the CovCath building, who also happen to be a BIG reason for CovCath success mind you...I can only imagine the conversations being had right now.
