Trading back is always a possibility. With that said the Bengals are going to fill some of these holes in FA still. There are plenty of good players left at the spots they need, and the longer they stay available the cheaper their price tag becomes. 

I know a lot of Bengal fans are freaking out on Twitter and Facebook. At the end of the day currently the Bengals return 9 of their projected starters on defense. With the two they lost being the safeties. Then on offense they are returning 10 starters, most likely 9 once Mixon is cut. 
 

So yes they did lose some guys, but they also have a LOT still coming back. The Bengals under Taylor have simply shown they really aren’t going to give many if any third contracts to guys entering their 30s. The Bengals want to get younger and faster, and there are plenty of guys still available that are younger and possibly better that they can still bring in. 
 

So yes it sucks not hearing any moves yet. I do think the Bengals will end up getting some key guys to fill a few of these holes and add depth before the draft comes.

You summed up the positive side of my thoughts on the Bengals so far this offseason.

Don’t like the decision of releasing Perine and Hurst. If releasing a running back, release Mixon which would have freed up more money and could have kept Perine. I hope there’s a plan in place for what to do at TE because Hurst has plenty left in the tank and very good. Consistently good teams ALWAYS have a really good TE.

Bengals didn’t release either of them. They both were free agents. Bengals probably offered Hurst another one year deal, while the Panthers offered a 3 year deal to him. Bengals under Taylor have shown they aren’t fan of giving contracts to people going into their 30s. 
 

I believe in regards to Mixon they will release him or he will have a huge pay cut. No chance he is playing this year under his current deal.

Well that confirms it. If you want to get a lot of money out of the Bengals your last name needs to be Brown.

That made me laugh out loud.

Interesting that the contract total and years for Brown is virtually the same as the contract Jesse Bates signed. And both played under the franchise tag last year.

At that contract, do you want Bates or Brown?

I also like the fact that Brown only turns 27 years old in May. Pay for what is hardest to find in the market. And that contract is actually a good value - #20 for offensive tackles. Plus he is one of the youngest among the highest paid tackles. That's a big chunk of money but still a good value.
