Did Murphy look a little unsettled by being picked or did I misread that? He was the only pick I watched so I don’t know if there’s more to that story.

Looked relieved.  Players put a lot of importance in the round they are chosen.  He looked relieved to get picked with the first round winding down.

Well that confirms it. If you want to get a lot of money out of the Bengals your last name needs to be Brown.

If I’m a draft pick, unless I’m going Top 10, I wouldn’t be upset at all going to a team with a Super Bowl window and a franchise QB.

I watched again. I was wrong. Or only saw the end of his time on camera which wasn’t all smiles.

I think you’re both correct.

Here is a headline from CincyJungle.com:

Trevor Siemian to Bengals after Brandon Allen joins 49ers.

  • Author

This is at least a semi-relevant highlight from his backup career from Wikipedia:

On September 25, 2016, Siemian became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw 300 yards and complete 4 touchdowns with no interceptions in his first career road start in a 29–17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.[45] His 132.1 quarterback rating was the highest achieved in the league that week.[46] He was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Bengals.[47]

Solid backup with real game experience.  Good signing.   Let's hope he never needs to see the field, unless Cincy is up big with minutes left.

Schedule Release is slated for Thursday, May 11. Would anybody be excited to see Cincy at KC for the first game of the year? Personally, I think that that game gets saved for a Sunday Night later in the year, but it wouldn't shock me to see that open up the season.

Nothing will surprise me with the Bengals' schedule this year.  I expect it to be all over the place.

Who Dey!

I would love it! I think KC opens up against either the Bengals, Eagles, or Bills.

My daughters already have their hearts set on the Bengals/Vikings game.  They are ready for a Chase v Jefferson "griddy-off"   I hope that game is on a kid friendly date and time.

We get the schedule in a few hours, apparently we don't open with the Bills or Chiefs and that is fine with me.

NFL had a promo featuring former players and legends react to seeing their old team's first game. They used AJ Green for the Bengals.

Makes me wonder if we start out at Arizona week 1.

That would be great and I prefer to open on the road because I don't think an opener on the road is a traditional road game if that makes sense.

I've seen a leak that has the first game being at Cleveland.
