In my opinion our LB play has been so much better than it was under Coach Lewis.

Agreed.  I'm just surprised he actually agreed to it more so than anything.  I figured ego would prevail.

What alternative would he have?  Maybe a team friendly one year deal with a weak sister.

I don’t think he had much choice. It was either agree to it, or get cut. Which if he got with his recent legal stuff and history, he wasn’t going to get much as a free agent. He probably is still making more with this new deal, than he would have in the open market.
