Of course I want to trust the process/Bengals but ouch, we have suffered some losses with no gains so far.

The Carolina Panthers have agreed to a three-year contract with Cincinnati Bengals free agent tight end Hayden Hurst, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Tuesday.

Hurst is coming off one of his most productive seasons in the NFL, catching 52 passes for 414 yards -- his second-highest career totals in each category -- during the regular season.

I'm beginning to wonder if the Bengals might consider trading their 1st round pick and falling into rounds 2 and 3 to pick up some more picks to fill up these holes.

I don't know what they are thinking, the Hayden loss really has me scratching my head.  I was thinking maybe they trade up, draft Mayer, and pick up a safety in FA.

Best position groups in the 2023 NFL draft:

RB, TE and CB

I think the Bengals are looking to the draft to fill these positions, will also look for free agent bargains and saving their money for the all pro level studs on the roster.

I hope that works out for us, clearly we need a RB and a TE and you can never had too many quality CBs.

The Bengals are getting compensatory picks for these players who leave.They get a round 7 for Perrine, round 3 for Bates and I believe a round 4 for Bell. I am not sure what they will get for Hurst.

That makes me think even more they could do some wheeling and dealing with their draft picks.

Yes, they can use those extra picks to go after players they want to draft.

Are those for the upcoming draft?  I thought I read an article just the other day that said they (the Bengals) wouldn't be receiving any compensatory picks in this year's draft.  So, would these be for the 2024 draft?

I don’t think Perine leaving has an effect on if the Bengals keep Mixon or not. Zero chance Mixon plays for the Bengals with his current contract. Only way he stays is if he takes a huge pay cut, and even then he may not be kept.
