Usually establish the run first they have 3 backs that can break one at any time. Then they have 3 very good wide-receivers and a very good tightend as well.

I always pull for Eddie but I think he’s got his hands full this time around. 

I saw CovCath against Highlands and Fredrick Douglass against Boyle Co. Based off those two games I’m going Freddy D in a win but no running clock. I believe CovCath had the D-line to keep the running game in check and put pressure on the QB to not have all day to throw. That being said FDs D-line was dominant against Boyle and will wreak havoc on the CovCath O. Good luck to both teams.

I'm not going to divulge the plays that show we are calling a tentative game here. However, at long last, our quarterback is up to speed with his receiving corp. All he has to do is execute when needed now, he does not have to be a hero for the team.

If Douglass' whole offensive plan is run attack, there's no way this is gonna be a running clock win for the Broncos.

You'd be surprised. Douglass attacked this season w the run at Boyle, in 70 degree weather, and gained 238 yards and 3 TDs on the ground. With that kind of rushing success, it's only a matter of time before a TD pass gets caught... 

Unless you guys have a player or two like Tommy Zeismer who even while getting blocked, still found his way in the Broncos backfield at times, the run is very tough to defend against. But your front seven may very well be up to the task.

 

I think most are predicting running clocks because the belief is the CovCath offensive drives will be short lived, and the FDHS offense is going to get the ball back often in favorable field position. 

Everyone keeps talking about FD handling Boyle this year. I saw the Lexcath vs Boyle game. The only thing I think we learned in those 2 games is this that Boyle has fallen off some. I’d go as far as to say the Boyle run defense is what I’d consider soft. FD shouldn’t run thru Covcath like they did Boyle.

I agree with this. But as stated above, if it is run, run run, it will be tough to get too lopsided a score. 

I'll go with Frederick Douglass by 21. I'll be surprised if a running clock.

I think CovCath can slow the game down enough to potentially take this into deep waters. I think Douglass wins, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see CovCath have a chance towards the end of the game.

I hear he could be back but no definite word there.  I would be surprised if he is back with the injury he had.  Reardon will most likely be back and Rumor has it Rodriguez could be on the field as well.  

I think the Boyle County win was significant for Fredrick Douglas.  They went on the road and handled a very good team.  They will face another one on Friday.  I was at the CovCath v Highlands game and thought Highlands best area that night other than Noon being an offensive star was the Highlands DLine.  They were in the backfield and made plays most of the night.

I think FDs Dline is quite a bit better than Highlands.  This will likely disrupt CovCath's offense most of the night.  CovCath's D unit is a good one, but I just think they are going to be put in poor field position quite a bit and on the field alot.
