Lafayette was pretty good a few years ago so I think they can get better with right coach.

Per Lafayette assistant AD Dallas Kingslover, who helps handle fall sports at LHS, they are waiting until January 4th to officially post the job and to begin the interview process.

I'm not positive, but I believe they're waiting until then because they expect to have a better idea of what teaching positions will be available at the school for next year.

At some point Lafayette was the largest public school in the state.

Louisville Eastern is #3, at least in the 2019-20 school year, which is the last year of data available on the KHSAA website. Oddly enough, all three schools have really struggled in football, proving that numbers aren't the only reason teams win.

I am hearing that they have reached out to Ethan Atchley from BE. Coach Atchley has history with them and his family is located in central KY. Seems like a good fit IMO.

Don't think Atchley is done turning BE back around.  They've made some big strides the last couple of seasons.

Another big job that I'm shocked no one is talking about. Biggest school in the state, surely someone is hearing something?

If he did apply, Matthews should be their pick for the next HC. OC their team during state run years, left and went back to Shelby Valley, but since return as an OC for Lafayette last season.
