Open Job: Lincoln County

Featured Replies

Would Lincoln Co. be interested in Kevin Sharon?  He's a hometown guy who played college ball at Georgetown.  He's currently at Somerset as the DC.

Until the football program is given the same attention as the basketball program it will always play second fiddle.

  • I am not a candidate for the Lincoln County job. But, if @Mr.Network accepts the head coaching position, and @theguru is on staff, I will commit to setting up the pylons before the game.  According to

  • I think there is a pretty wide gulf between the jobs that people connect to Josh and those he actually applies for.  Not saying that is the case here, but he doesn't apply or go after a lot of the job

I’m hearing their is a ton of interest in this job, with the support the administration showed Spencer I’m not surprised, should be another really great coaching search, excited to see who gets this job!

Should have been 30 pages. Thread got shut down before anything was official from Garrard County.

Took too long? They just wanted the right guy and Crutchfield didn’t get interviewed until Tuesday. Before that he turned the job down.

No names given, just heard the phone is ringing off hook, which is good news!

Any new news here? How long is the job posting open does anyone know?

Heard LC is taking this well into January, which in my opinion is a huge mistake. Kids fall behind in the weight room and most coaches will be hired.

I think they will be OK.  LIncoln will put somebody in charge of the weight room in the interim and there are plenty of good coaches to go around.

It makes sense this could take into mid-January when you consider the winter holiday.  Not sure if they've posted the job but it'll take a few weeks to get applications, interviews, etc.  Seems reasonable to me.

Any update on this one? Seems quiet. I know with the holidays and schools out, may not be much news early.
