Until the football program is given the same attention as the basketball program it will always play second fiddle.

  • I am not a candidate for the Lincoln County job. But, if @Mr.Network accepts the head coaching position, and @theguru is on staff, I will commit to setting up the pylons before the game.  According to

  • I think there is a pretty wide gulf between the jobs that people connect to Josh and those he actually applies for.  Not saying that is the case here, but he doesn't apply or go after a lot of the job

? I understand different circumstances factor into that, but I would maybe just leave that off his resume!

If I’m not mistaken he also coached under Mark Scenters at Garrard, which in my personal opinion were the best years of Garrard County football, it was the only time in school history they made it to the state semi’s. After that sports in Garrard have been kinda well. Just non existent, I think Lincoln is doing the right thing here, if they have Head Coaches applying that have already been successful, it would be silly not to atleast interview and take a look at the entire picture instead of rushing a decision, I hope it works out for the best for everyone involved, football is a big deal in any school district, just because it stirs the athletic drink per say, if you can make it in football and become a good program, other sports follow. Boyle for example.

Oh I don’t wanna leave. It would be a tough pill to swallow but at the end of the day I’m going to have to do what’s best for my youngest. Yeah I’ve busted some balls on transfers and I’m sure I’ll get it back. But if you wanna call me out use your real name not a screen name ! And really we don’t have to leave he can stay here and just play baseball or basketball . I won’t transfer to Boyle or Danville just to buy a championship……… there’s more options like Casey, or garrard!!!!

What do you mean by "buy a championship?"

What was the record with Travis?

10-34 (2014-2017)- Leffew

21-23 (2018-2021)- Crutchfield

Since a 6-5 record in 2000, Lincoln County has had four winning seasons in the past 21 years:

2006 (10-2) Larry French

2007 (11-3) Larry French

2018 (7-5) Spencer Crutchfield

2020 (5-4) Spencer Crutchfield

Lincoln went 5-4 in 2020 correct? Felt like they had a solid season during the covid year, but I may be mistaken here.

I think the word you are searching for is “Earn.”

Craig Foley is linked to this job, but was fired yesterday? Extremely odd. He's a proven coach and a great man. But still, weird timing on the firing. Maybe he really is linked to the job at Lincoln more then realized.

I think he’s very linked to the job from what I have heard. But, I do agree it’s a weird timing. My only guess would be that they caught wind it may already be a done deal of him going to Lincoln, or they were looking for an excuse to let him go beforehand and now they’ve got one.

That would be very petty, but nothing shocks me in this world anymore!
