I was surprised I didn't see any commentary about this article from the enquirer yesterday. The quote from the AD makes me think the search could take longer or that maybe who they wanted did not work out.

 “We kind of prematurely set a timetable, but that could be changed on interviewing more people and doing more background checks on people,” Caldwell said. “We’re not set on a timetable. We want someone who’s not just a good football coach but someone who is great in the community.”

Credit to the school though it has been hard to get concrete information and has been a lot of speculation.

You don't think 655+ posts on this topic has been entertaining? I just wish the late George Carlin and the late Tim Wilson were on the committee. This would have provided them some great material. As for Dontae....his family needs to move out of KY and then he will be a Cal favorite because he's not real impressed by players from KY. And....do not tell Cal you want to play four years and graduate...that would hurt his NBA cred with World Wide Wes and the boys.

According to Don Owen (@dontribunesport), David Fulcher applied for the position. Obviously was awesome at the pro level for the Bengals (all pro safety), but was 0-22 as the coach for Cincinnati Christian.
