Seems as if Don Owen is trying to link Caldwell's backing down off of his initial timeline for the new hire to the AD announcing her retirement at the end of the year.

Apparently the smoke should flow here very soon. Seeing on other social sights something has been decided. But who knows lol. I mean it’s Thursday.

So I wasn't the only one who noticed that particular wording.

I seem to recall another school in Campbell County getting "scooped" on the coach announcement not too terribly long ago. They came out and said, "He is not our coach"...only to announce a couple of days later that he was the coach.

Maybe that isn't the case here. Or maybe it is.

They probably have offered the job and are waiting for the new coach to take care of things on his end before announcing.
