That is correct.  The boys asked for a voice.  The Committee is just interviewing and making recs; however it is important hire as many are waiting results I hear.

I understand it just being a committee, which I would assume will ultimately make a recommendation. Most schools from what I understand the Principal officially hires? Even with all that being said, I find it wild that a HS student would have input. Also find it odd that there are said to be 10-12 members. That’s a lot of minds to come to a consensus. I’ve typically heard of 3-5 on a hiring committee if this nature. 
 

Ultimately I’m sure they will find a great candidate, just an odd situation in my mind.

Good point. Maybe having 10-12 committee members is a reason a new coach hasn't been selected? Or the pool of candidates is shallow.

I agree that it more than likely will take three or so years to get on track. Now you might get lucky and it turn around faster but I think that would be the exception. 
 

I also liked to make it clear I was not knocking Coach Barth in anyway. I think he is an excellent coach. I just used him as an example of an excellent coach that doesn’t meet to criteria it appears of some fans. 
 

I find the idea of Lickert being polarizing interesting. I know he has very high standards/expectations. I think if he was going to get a shot this might be his best chance. 

Jamie Reed from South Oldham has applied and interviewed.  Wolfe walked the field and field house, did not interview but was offered the job. He is supposed to let them know this week if he wants the job. Lickert applied and interviewed as well. I've also heard 2 college coaches have applied and interviewed.  Neither one was a head coach from what I've been told.

That is correct that I am not on the committee.  Seems there are some on here willing to talk and divulge information and some that are not, because you cannot always believe what you hear.

I guess we're getting close. Lickert, Bathiany, Reed and whatever is going on with Wolfe. How many are left, 3?

Actually I don’t think we are any closer than we were before Tuesday. 

I’m sorry but I guess I’m old school but I too find it weird that a “senior to be player” is on the hiring, recommendation, football coach......whatever you want to call the committee. But whatever. Losing its credibility imo. 

I missed a bunch. Have to start opening my App more often. Good stuff

Who are they set up to appease?

Outsiders will not deal with the Coach everyday. Some will like the hire some will bash it. But the players will deal with the new coach directly everyday. 

Downside of this....  So what happens when the player rep (team) falls in love with Candidate A and they hire Candidate B.
